You need to figure out what the right products are for your unique hair needs. Just like any aspect of our lives, no two people are made the same way, or experience life through the same eyes. The same goes for hair care! 1. Understanding Your Hair Type

You should rather let your hair air dry where possible, and use other methods of styling to get the desired look that you’re going for. Now is a better time than never to embrace your natural look, meaning, if your hair is curly, let it be curly and avoid using straighteners that are most likely going to damage your hair. By all means, use heat styling tools for special occasions, but for your day-to-day look, focus on enhancing what you’re naturally working with! You can get all the protein you need by consuming enough fish, eggs, dairy, poultry, cheese and plant-based protein sources such as legumes, beans and tofu. Fish is also a great source of omega-3 fatty acids which are essential for hair health. Eating nuts, leafy vegetables, fruits such as strawberries and other citrus fruits will ensure you get all the vitamins and minerals that your hair needs to thrive. Dark chocolate and spinach can be a great source of antioxidants, and lean red meats are a rich source of iron and zinc. 3. Which Foods To Avoid In Your Diet

So I’m doing this once a week, and using shampoo once a week, and it’s not perfect but finally when I wash my hair like this it is as clean and feels as good as when I use shampoo – no heaviness, no waxiness. So maybe I will be able to drop the shampoo altogether soon, hurrah. For me the real key was learning to not do pure water washes, and to avoid the hard water on my hair as much as possible. The Daily Telegraph called my second book “a manifesto for life lived in nature!”. It takes the form of thirty short chapters, easily digested on the fly, to help you find a sense of home in the natural world. I am so sure that these stories of people who have been transformed and restored by connecting with the wild will inspire you to dive into a love affair with nature, and take your family with you.

Lemon juice is acidic and can be overly harsh on your hair. It may lead to dryness, frizz, and increased sensitivity to sunlight, causing hair damage. Cinnamon can be irritating to the scalp and skin, potentially causing redness, itching, or a burning sensation. Avoid using it in high concentrations. Additionally, salt, eggs and mayonnaise can all have negative effects on your hair’s health and should be avoided in your DIY treatments. Baking soda is sometimes used in very small amounts, but should be avoided in large amounts because of its alkaline nature. 3. Types of DIY Hair Treatments Hair loss can sneak up on you when you might not expect it. There are several common causes of hair loss, though one is far more common than the rest: androgenetic alopecia (AGA). 8 This affliction (sometimes also called androgenic alopecia) is commonly referred to as male (or female) pattern baldness. It happens when the body converts an excess amount of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which makes its way to the scalp and inhibits the healthy activity of hair follicles. Over time, those follicles are starved of nutrients, go into a dormant phase, and eventually die off.
