Can anyone point me (and anyone else who's interested!) in the direction of other options for clean/loop blending and A/B blending (preferably in one unit)? I'm just trying to weigh up all the options so I only have to fork out once! So far the names I've seen are:

Switching: One of the best things is that you can switch between the A/B effect loops, A/B/bypass, A+B mix/bypass, and Output select (e.g. for switching between amps). Bypass is true, didn't notice any signal loss. However, the Gear4music extended warranty scheme provides an enhanced service, and is designed to offer a higher level of protection than many 'free' warranties offered by some retailers and manufacturers. Pedals like the Cry Baby Mini (I put it in Loop B) may be a bit hard to switch on and off live, so using it in the LS-2 loop makes it easy to call upon it without any fuss

With the BOSS Line Selector, two different effects chains can be switched: one for clean / crunch sounds (in the 'flavour' of Overdrive, Chorus, Compressor, Reverb, Flanger, etc.), and one for the lead sound (e.g., Distortion, Delay, Pitch shifter, etc.). Now you can switch between the two sounds comfortably with the LS-2: the required pedals can be activated in advance and are then available via a switching process. Further applications of the LS-2 include the possibility to control several amplifiers, and the pedal can also be used to supply a plurality of effect pedals with a power supply (sufficiently dimensioned).
