Alcohol can increase the risk of side-effects from antihistamines. you have predisposition factors of urinaryretention (e.g. spinal cord lesion, prostatichyperplasia) as cetirizine increases the riskof urinary retention. If you remember more than 4 hours after, do not give the missed dose. Instead, wait until the next dose and carry on as normal. Although cetirizine is classed as a non-drowsy antihistamine, it can still cause drowsiness in a few people. If you are affected by drowsiness, do not drive, do not use a bicycle, and do not use tools or machines.
