The 65PUS8807’s connections are mostly impressive for its price. In particular, two of its four HDMI ports are capable of handling 4K/120Hz gaming signals, as well as the two other major new gaming features of VRR (including FreeSync Premium) and ALLM switching.

The Hisense 65U8HQ looks more like a mid-range TV than a truly premium one. It’s much more robustly built than Hisense’s more affordable sets, but sports both a fairly chubby profile and a rather ‘meh’ grey frame and desktop stand. The Hisense 65U8HQ’s audio is consistently stronger than its pictures. Especially, actually, if you don’t run it in Dolby Atmos mode. Oddly the 65U8HQ’s troublesome IPS panel doesn’t seem to give us as much of a viewing angle benefit as might be expected. Colours perhaps hold up better from an angle than they might on a regular VA panel, but contrast falls away – not least because the clouding problem becomes significantly worse. That level of brightness is enough to give a reasonable account of HDR (when brightness is corrected), and the VA panel of the Philips conveys a wide range of colours in Thor: Love & Thunder; the appearance of the two Thor’s armour is colourful throughout, crisp in tone though not as lush or saturated as Philips OLEDs. Google Assistant is available on Philips Android TVs running on Android O (8) or higher OS version. Google Assistant is available in selected languages and countries.

If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the diagonal is calculated from the width and height of the screen. With Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos on board, your films, shows and games look and sound incredible. See the picture that the director wanted you to see — no more disappointing scenes that are too dark to make out! Hear every word clearly. I have two identical monitors that support FreeSync. I only have one DisplayPort on my card, so my second monitor is using HDMI. It uses Variable Refresh Rate instead of Adaptive Sync Compatible. If you mouse over the question mark, they both state the exact same thing, verbatim. So, it seems that there is no difference. As to why the name is different, I have no idea. The ratio between the horizontal and the vertical side of the display. Some of the standard and widely used aspect ratios are 4:3, 5:4, 16:9 and 16:10. Its actual HDR performance is about average for this calibre of screen; we measured peak brightness at 520 nits. This effectively means that the set has the range to punch out fine specular details, like fireworks, headlights in the dark and so on, bringing depth to its images. But it's not as bright as the top-end sets elsewhere on the market.
