Megatron learned through a recording from Laserbeak that Autobot Leader Zeta Prime had the Omega Key in his possession and had holed up deep within Iacon. Megatron led a full-scale assault on the city, totally devastating Iacon, until he found Zeta Prime at last. After a hard battle, Zeta fell, and Megatron obtained the Omega Key. However, immediately upon taking it, alarms went off, and Iacon itself was shaking. Zeta Prime, despite being mortally wounded, laughed at Megatron's face, saying the Omega Key was only the key to the true key: the city-sized Autobot Omega Supreme. Brawl gets a smaller role every time he shows up. He's a major character in War for Cybertron, but is reduced to a supporting character in Fall of Cybertron, before simply showing up without a word to form Bruticus's leg in Rise of the Dark Spark. A running gag in the advertisements shows that the Decepticon Lord is actually a brony in secret. Soundwave is the only one who knows, and seems to share his leader's taste for My Little Pony.

One very impressive aspect of this deco is the way the battle damage carries over to this mode. There is "wear" on both the turret section and the tank treads. I was very happy to see the way the "wear" carried over into this form. You could also flip out the robot fists if you wanted to attach extra weaponry. The hard points for the Blast Effects are found on top of the turret and on the rear tread sections.

Aside from the colors, mass retail Brawl is identical to the version from the Decepticon Bruticus gift set.

In War for Cybertron, Brawl's colors appeared in a dark gunmetal-gray color scheme, and he was not classified as a Combaticon. It was not until the game's sequel he was labeled as a Combaticon, along with his colors changing to a muted shade of green. Besides his hover tank alt-mode, in Fall of Cybertron he also displayed the ability to change into a tripod-legged stationary cannon mode, although this is unusable by the player in any form of gameplay.
