About this deal

Another issue fixed is the mouth and lace area. I had so much trouble putting on the boot in the X Ghosted due to its entire rigid upper but that is a thing of the past. The X Speedflow.1 now sports an exposed stretchable knitted lace area and tongue for easy entry and a comfortable fit. On the X18+ it will yes but on any other X range it will not flake off. Can I wear these on grass/mud/3g/turf...? Unlike previous Xs, this is one of the easiest boots to put on, even when I had them half a size smaller. Despite the smaller size, you’ll soon notice how spacious that toebox is. It’s pretty obvious too to the eye as you might notice a bump around that toebox, so imagine what that would feel like at your regular size. At half size down, that toebox is comfortable with a bit of room to wiggle without feeling too large. Not Mercurialesque in terms of width but may still not be an option for extremely wide feet or very specific foot shape Being a speed boot, this boot is very lightweight at roughly 190-200 grams/6.9 oz depending on the size you have. Can you Get the X in kids? What sizes are available?

And last but not least, adidas kept the carbitex soleplate which provides that springy sensation to propel you forward. This was the best part of the X Ghosted and we’re glad it made a return. The adidas X Speedflow.1 fits very wide Tightness is even across the boot; the most seamless sensation; feels like boots disappear when worn The X Speedportal isn’t quite as light as it’s predecessor, weighing in at 189 grams. However, it’s still much lighter than alternatives such as the Predator Edge. My main gripe with the playability of the the X Speedportal is that it isn’t a major improvement over the X Speedflow. Both the laced and the laceless models in the Speedflow line provided an excellent fit and feel. Some may even prefer the slightly more responsive sensation of the previous model. If you currently own a pair of X Speedflows, I wouldn’t be rushing to upgrade. Laceless X Speedportal + Laceless designs are not a new fad in football boots. The first laceless boot was produced by Lotto in 2006, and other brands have released their own models since then. Laceless boot technology has been improving gradually over the years. Now days, some laceless boots even rival their laced competitors. So In this list, we’ll go through the best laceless football boots of 2022. I did get a chance to wear and talk about the laced X Speedflow.1 recently, and from my experience found that they had a lot more to offer performance wise. It will ultimately come down to personal preference and what you as a player expect from each style. But having the opportunity to tighten up the laces makes them a more functional option in my opinion. Retail DetailsUnderfoot, adidas go with what they are calling a Carbitex SpeedFrame. It is essentially an upgraded version of a fan favorite, with the SpeedFrame serving as the primary component and carbon fiber inserted in the forefoot of the soleplate creating some additional spring and snap as you release off the surface. It plays off well, although initially I got similar vibes to the old Nitrocharge soleplate. It will take a few wears to loosen up what is a pretty rigid plate, gradually transitioning to a more uniform bend that matches your foots natural movements. Don’t be surprised if you feel some cramping along your sole over the first wear or two, it will subside as you gel with the boots. We got a review set of the laced adidas X Speedflow.1 from the good people of adidas and upon unboxing, I wrongly thought “This looks just like the X Ghosted. This is just a fancy marketing rebrand”. Yes you can, there are different versions for different pitches, book a consultation with us and we can help you work out which is best for you between X FG, AG, SG, TF or IC. What are these similar to? In fact, these are actually one of the better wide fitting laceless boots we have seen released to date! You just have to get through the tight ankle opening, and there is hope that they will feel comfortable to wear. I’m a medium-wide fit and overall I felt comfortable wearing them. Length wise, they are as you would expect and very much true to size compared to other adidas boot releases. adidas market the X for speed, and hence tie in their big name strikers and wingers including Gareth Bale, Mo Salah, Luis Suarez and James Rodriguez.

First is the scaling the Carbitex inserts on the tooling to full-length, maximising the energy-return and propulsive feel of the Speedframe. The studs are now more solid in shape, making them slightly less (but nonetheless still sharp) relative to the Speedflow configuration.Comfort and speed boots don’t usually go hand in hand but adidas have done it in 2021. This amazing boot also cushions the blow of losing the Nemeziz line which had its following due to its wider fit and speed boot-esque features. Worth it as an option to try laceless boots that offer barefoot-like feel ball touch for the first time, as well as an upgrade from the previous X boots Like any speed boot, this feels very light on feet too, weighing in at 201g for a US9 model. Combined with that carbitex soleplate, I felt as nimble and agile as a cheetah with my footwork, whether it’s a straight dribble or spinning past a defender. That midfoot also cradles your feet when making sharp lateral movements without compromising comfort.
