About this deal

Ripstone, Lab42 & World Snooker announce 'Snooker 19' ". Entertainment Focus . Retrieved 18 October 2018. Online matches represent some of the best fun to be had on Snooker 19. You’ll form your own rivalries against certain players with a running tally of head-to-head records. In the pre-match loading screen you are confronted with the user’s number of online wins and their highest break. The game featured full likenesses for all tour players, and the Q School qualification events for the main tour. [10] Matches include in-game commentary by Neal Foulds, and David Hendon, as well as refereeing by Brendan Moore. [10] Multiplayer matches mirror real-life tournaments, with in-game tournaments co-existing with events, though all events are played under a "single table" set up. [11] [12] Release [ edit ]

Mäki, Jonas (20 October 2018). "Snooker 19 announced for consoles and PC". Gamereactor UK. Archived from the original on 20 October 2018 . Retrieved 26 October 2018. Like real snooker, there’s a fine line between making that perfect shot and ending up at the wrong end of the table. Even in easy mode, I’ve yet to score a break over 50 with aid assists fully on, and if you choose one of the harder difficulty modes, the aiming aids are reduced or removed, making it a lot harder. Great visuals outside of the character models The Snooker 19 Gold Edition bundle offers the ultimate experience of the official World Snooker Tour, including: It’s unclear why, but we’ve had several online games freeze midway through the frame. The player becomes unresponsive, the game stops responding and the only way to resolve the issue is to restart the game. Snooker 19 Is Cueing Up A 2019 Release On Nintendo Switch". Nintendo Life. 17 October 2018 . Retrieved 17 October 2018.In Online Tournaments there are Leaderboard ranking points at stake from both players in every match. The Leaderboard scoring system is based on a similar design to the traditional Elo rating system. Developed by Lab42 and published by Ripstone Games, Snooker 19 does a commendable job of bringing the baize to life digitally.

Of course, not only do you get to play as these guys, but you also get to play against them and a bit of TV style presentation really does drop you right into the game. From there the AI that dictates your opponent’s shot choice and skills is decent too and even though your computer controlled opponents can go from zero to hero in just a few shots – leaving you wondering what exactly they’ve taken whilst you’ve been building a bit of a break – for the most part the AI works well. Playing Snooker 19 alone is all well and good, and partaking in the deep career will no doubt keep you going for some time, particularly should you have chosen to take an unknown newbie through the ranks. But the real joy of any game like this is found in putting your wits and snookering skills against other real world opponents. It is here where Snooker 19 allows for both local and online play.Another quirk we disliked in Career Mode was the tendency to draw the world’s top 16 players in preliminary qualifying rounds for minor events.

Well, we're pleased to tell you from the get-go that this officially licensed Snooker title is a pretty solid effort, although sadly it comes with one or two issues that impacted our enjoyment a little. It's definitely fun to learn and play, but there's a couple of things that snooker the effort. So, let's get to the heart of it. There are two sets of difficulty levels including the player’s aiming aid consisting of amateur, pro, master and no aiming aid, alongside the difficulty of an A.I. controlled opponent that is rather intriguingly based upon their real world ranking as players ranked between 61st to 128th are considered to be easy opponents, while players ranked from 21st to 60th are classed as medium opponents and players ranked between 1st to 20th are classed as hard opponents.Balancing gameplay in a snooker simulation is notoriously difficult. The game is too easy if you provide a perfect set of aiming tools. But if you take them away, the user is unnecessarily handicapped. The feeling: “ Well, I wouldn’t have missed THAT down the club“, gets frustrating. In real snooker, travelling the length of the table to snip a red 2 centimetres to either side would be fraught with danger. Snooker 19 coming to Switch next year - Nintendo Everything". Nintendo Everything. 17 October 2018 . Retrieved 17 October 2018. Ripstone Games confirma Snooker 19 para Nintendo Switch - Nintenderos.com - Nintendo Switch, 3DS, Wii U". Nintenderos.com - Nintendo Switch, 3DS, Wii U. 17 October 2018 . Retrieved 17 October 2018. Accompanying all this is a decent audio system too – well, as decent as a few ball on ball hits allow. Thuds of cue ball on target colour are good, as are the referee calls. The inclusion of some fairly decent commentary allows for a bit more immersion too and even though their scripted words don’t always correspond to what is going on on the table, and repetition is rife, it’s never really anything to get too worked up about.
