I oversprayed on clean, moisturized skin using a 1ml spray sample (emptied it - about 8-10 generous sprays, with another 1ml to top off into the next day). Musc Noir opened a new chapter in my fragrance journey. This has been my signature scent for more than a year, and the most complimented one ever. This beauty really shines outdoors, perhaps even when its bit cooler out (I live in FL so take that lightly)! It was fairly warm today, but I got caught in a light breeze this evening and the most BEAUTIFUL whiff of soft, soapy white florals came my way!From the beginning this starts off quite musk-forward (very similar to Narciso's Pure Musk) rounded out with plum and some florals. As it warms up on the skin, it becomes softer, warmer and more complex. It blends with your natural scent and gives off the most *beautiful* sillage - people will wonder why you smell so good, but not know what it is. The collection continues to be inspired by women; each scent created to empower and reveal women’s innermost beauty with the transformative power of musc. The introduction of the original for her contributed to a new chapter in the history of fragrance. The modern chypre musc, a unique facet in the family of chypre fragrances, led for her to become an international phenomenon and a modern classic. I passed over this one for a long time and I'm not sure why. It's absolutely stunning. Sensual, feminine and mysterious, all while being soft about it, not loud. The ultimate 'your skin but better' scent, without the screechy notes I've noticed in others.

I read that this was also good to pair with other Narciso perfumes or any other musk based fragrances, so i paired it with one of my favorite, Indi by Katy Perry. It was like putting icing on your favorite cake. The way these two scent intertwined and blended so well together, i fell in love. I am so glad i chanced blind buying this. I highly recommend trying this scent out. I do love all that I have tried from Narciso Rodriguez that I have tried: except Narciso Ambree, which has no longevity on me, I'm afraid - maybe I'm anosmic to it or something. But this is something extra: it ACTUALLY comes in as one of my Top Two Fragrances Ever. And that, my friends, does not say little. I have close to a hundred fragrances, and love some more, and have tried some more... the other one on my Top is Lou Lou, Cacharel, which I have owned since it came out. So it took that long, for something to match it... Scents I've smelled prior to this with any similarities to it genuinely pale by comparison or simply seem overcomplicated.The radiant, gorgeous deep musk breathes through the entire composition. The soft, powdery jasmine takes a slight indolic accord, but it's actually a fresh blossom, still on the vine. That accord is created by the penetrating, rich musk. That's not a loud scent. This is soft, inviting and very feminine. imagine you're in a serene, oriental garden with jasmine, vines in full bloom scaling the wooden terraces. As you walk through, the sun warmes your skin. The gorgeous aroma of ylang ylang files the air blending in harmony with the smooth, jasmine and a bright lifted of fragrant orange blossom. You stop and smell the blooms. Not to close as you're surrounded and the air is naturally permated with the florals on the crisp breeze. You realize you're surrounded by life. I already own and love the original Narciso Rodriguez for her EDT and thought that Pure Musc might fit the bill of a quiet, musky, soft floral. Pure Musc is the perfume equivalent of a simple cashmere sweater in a light colour (white, vanilla, cream, ivory, ecru, etc.) It's simple yes, of course, but quietly elegant. Like a good quality cashmere sweater, Pure Musc is simple yet well made. Think clean lines, elegant and understated. This fragrance is just one beautiful scent from the opening to the dry down. The projection is one the best I've encountered. Any fragrance that you can still smell on yourself 4+ hours later, just know everyone around you is getting a whiff as well. It's bold, but not in an offensive way. The lasting power is spectacular, as i expected. It lasted 7+ hours on my skin. Musc behaves magically with my chemistry, and I have worn Narciso before, had few signature fragrances - i cannot think of one that did not sweep me off my feet. Longevity is great - I applied at 9 am and by 5 pm (leaving work), I could still smell it quite clearly on my wrist. This would make an excellent signature scent, and I can see it working for pretty much all seasons apart from the hottest days of summer. The mid temperatures of spring and fall are likely the times of the year when the scent would work best (I've noticed Narciso's perfumes work best on my skin during those seasons). This was a very pleasant surprise for me. I work in an airport and decided to stop by at tax free and do some shopping. This super sweet lady working at the perfume section asked me what perfumes I like and my favourite scents are typically gourmand, floral and very feminine scents. She knew exactly what I wanted and led me straight to this perfume. A little white dress with a pair of dainty metalic strappy sandals for a night out. Definitely makes you want to put on a too short, too low cut white dress and let your raw femininity take over. This scent does what i desire from a musc based scent. It's raw, carnal, earthy, sensual, organic, powdery and all so classy at the same time. A calming fragrance and yet wery sophisticated. Like every narciso rodriquez's work, you can give time to his scent. Musk needs your warm skin to take life. It must express itself on your skin. I imagine a high class, wealthy, woman walking down 5th Ave in a white skirt suit, with her hair up. She walks by and she smells so good, but not of "perfume." It's her expensive shampoo and other products (that I could never afford), that leave her smelling like 'money.' Thats what Pure Musc is. It's not overpowering, put people get a whiff when you walk by and become enamored.

Ideal for musk enthusiasts, this fragrance offers a well-balanced combination of musk, cashmeran, and florals. It's a sophisticated and elegant option, making it a good blind buy choice. The fragrance exudes power and seduction, with moderately long-lasting performance that stays close to the skin.In summary, the first half is bright and clean while the second half is creamy and sensual. I can't decide whether this is an innocent or a sophisticated scent. It has a little bit of everything. Maybe that duality is the essence of femininity that Sonia Constant wants me to experience, or, logically speaking, depends on your own chemistry. It will smell cleaner and lighter for sure if you get more floral notes on your skin, but in my case, musk is waaaaaay more prominent than anything else in most of the time. I can barely even detect any flower in the dry down. I've written a review for this one before, though I can't recall precisely what I said about it except that I love it. It has a smooth, clean soapy musk note that manages to feel cushiony and soft. Combined with the green florals, it has a rightness I've just never felt with others that try this. I like this fragrance, but also admire it. It has a smooth cool floral abstracted bouquet, abstraction being a quality I like more and more in fragrances. It may be one reason this works for me - it's blended, almost seamless, in the manner of Narciso Rodriguez fragrances, not about the notes.
