About this deal

You’re a flirt,” I say, trying not to smile. “You can’t help yourself. Just stop with the face thing.” Emotional, sensual, dramatic, tragic, romantic, erotic, kinky, intimate, touching,,, the list is long. You can believe,,, feel their love even if you remove all L words and sex scenes.

You know, a handsome huge gangster is considerate and patient more than you and same time dying from his longing for you and same time boiling for revenge for who did this to you. Georgia’s portrayal of Cassidy was kind, pure, driven and determined to get her man and I fell hard for her sweet and gentle disposition. Second time was like could not having enough of it cuz' I'm still sad about they have one book, so I'd re-read here and there. After finishing Their Broken Legend I had to read again. And I'm damn happy to read more of them especially with more kids. These two are just… freaking perfect for each other. Shoshanna was forced into a little box of normality where she thought she was taking the safe road, one that was stable and would bring her happiness… but she’s utterly miserable, and it takes Bronson crashing into her life again for her to finally realize what she’s been missing all this time. There’s a couple of twists, one I saw coming and one I didn’t. And that one ruined me. Like snot dribbling, ugly crying got me. And that friggin’ letter. I WAS A MESS!!!His world is going to intoxicate her. The dangerous men that he calls family will want to use her, tutu and all.

This was so good. I love that it was different; the characters weren't your cliche mafia bad boy and good girl. This one had the slight edge for me on the previous book in the series and this one unlike the first is definitely set firmly in the criminal underbelly. This is Cassidy Slater and Max Butchers story Cassidy is the baby Sister of Konnor and Max is a key player in the district.

Only Nicci Harris could have me rolling in tears from laughter one minute and then pulling my hair out the next. "Our Thing" went from zero to call the fire brigade hot, insanely fast and I loved all the twists and turns and surprises. The premise of one simple act causing a chain reaction of chaos was sheer brilliance. Max plays rugby and goes to university and the gym when he can. The work he does for his family means that he tends to be needed a lot at short notice. Loved the glimpses we got of the rest of the Butcher boys as well. Max and Cassidy (Book #2 Kids of the District) remain a favourite of mine. Overall a great addition to the series, looking forward to reading more! Cassidy is the golden girl of the ballet, with a giant crush on the bad boy of the district and watching him fall for her is amazing! So when everything we created together is ripped away, I burn the idea of a peaceful life. Widening my arms to my inevitable fate, I accept my duties.

Where do I even begin with this review. This book left me speechless. I was so excited for the release of Bronson’s story and it did not disappoint at all, if anything it exceeded my expectations. Only Nicci Harris could have me rolling in tears from laughter one minute and then pulling my hair out the next. ""Our Thing"" went from zero to call the fire brigade hot, insanely fast and I loved all the twists and turns and surprises. The premise of one simple act causing a chain reaction of chaos was sheer brilliance."" Jessica from Jessica Reads It. While in real life I appreciate Cassidy’s family’s concerns about how controlling Max came off, but when I’m reading these types of books I leave my feminism at the door and choose to see his “overbearingness” as “protective” 😌 He probably didn’t help his case by snapping at anyone who tried to come between them, including her siblings… Their dynamic may not have seemed balanced but they were each other’s anchors and it was actually so beautiful to see. The events that take place at the end were so bittersweet which was only driven home but Nicci’s letter afterwards! Max’s letter made me cry and Nicci’s kept those tears flowing 😭 I miss this couple so much already and I hope we still get to see a lot of them throughout the rest of the series 🥺 Then there’s Toni, he’s a dream of a best friend!! I want him as mine. There’s vulnerable Xander (Nicci Harris please tell me we get a Xander book!!) Then you’ve got smooth and charming Clay, and then there’s Bronson. An absolute beast with a heart that’s probably going to break mine. Even Butch made me a gooey mess with his roundabout way of protecting his boys. While this book is 100% from Cassidy's point of view I feel you still get a great read on Max. Cassidy falls fast as she is already half in love with Max before she's actually met him. After a drunken conversation at her birthday party Max feels a pull to Cassidy that he just can't avoid, No matter how much he wants to. Nobody seems to think Max and Cassidy are a good idea (including Max) But Cassidy believes in them and will do whatever it takes to show everyone they belong together. The story is not dark but not a sugar cake either. IMO it was handled well, I liked the trauma of her abuse, the way he treat and take care of her... the H is a 24 yr old bad boy mafia dude, he’s an elusive manwhore when he meets the h, commitment-phobic, but very protective and jealous/possessive of the h and surprisingly romantic - he’s got a vulgar mouth 😅 Max, from the beginning, was an asshole, he knows he's an asshole, but he tries to be the person he knows he wants to be for Cassidy in their own way.
