About this deal

Aimee: The price makes this product very attractive. I do feel the wipes are slightly thinner than other brands I have used and don’t clean as well as others, however, they are not the worst. I have found I use on average 1 to 2 more wipes per nappy change or face wipe due to less absorbency than other brands so I would recommend this product to mums on a budget. How did this product make your life easier? Lupilu Organic Baby Fruit & Veg Pouches, Stage 1, Butternut Squash, Apples, Carrots & Prunes (120g)

To get one, new and expectant parents need to sign up and watch parenting videos designed to teach them all about their child's early years. With organic jojoba oil and aloe vera extract, these sensitive baby wipes from budget supermarket Lidl are fragrance-free and soothing. If you’re after wipes free from added alcohol, colour, silicone, animal products and other nasties, these are up for the job. They also soft, absorbent and extra tear-resistant. Would you recommend this to other mums? Wendy: Yes, the design is easy to throw in a bag but the extra flap over the opening stops them drying out. They are easy to use and smell really nice which I think is also something we are drawn to when using products on our baby. Long shelf life. the only downside is they are not recyclable - more could be done in this area.

Tesco Fred & Flo Biodegradable Fragrance Free Wipes (60)

Ina: I can easily wipe my child's dirty face and hands. Easy to use on the go as the box does not open randomly to leak liquid all over changing bag and it is very sturdy so if even it gets into baby's hands it would not break or open. Cleaning is much easier with these wipes. How did this product make your life easier? Verity: These Lupilu Baby Wipes represent a reasonably good value for money compared to similar products of a similar description. For mums on a tight budget they would be a good choice. The sealed ‘lid’ makes them useful for being out and about and stops them drying up but is probably unnecessary given the amount and rate that wipes are used for all those newborn pops! The Baby Box University is free to join, parents who sign up just need to select a Lidl store near them to collect the box from. The Baby Box can be delivered for a small charge. We were asked to try the Soft and Dry Lupilu nappy pants from Lidl to see how we found them. I’m not going to lie, I was initially dubious, as although we had used them for Joanna for a short time, she was a bit older, and by that stage she was only wearing them at night. I wondered how Luca would get on using them day and night. Laura: The wipes are easy to use and easily fit into a nappy changing routine. A favourite feature was that when pulling one wipeout, only one wipe came out! As opposed to other brands for which a clump of about five wipes comes out with one pull! The wipes were smooth to use and cleaned the baby's bottom gently.

Lidl's offering was much better. They looked bigger and were wetter, making them good value overall. In the first two years of your baby’s life, they'll go through a colossal amount of nappies. You begin to ask yourself, am I paying for the brand name, or the quality of the product? I’ve found that with nappies, more money doesn’t always mean the nappy won’t leak, the fit will be comfortable, or they’ll be gentle on your baby’s skin. So why pay more, on such a regular basis, if you can find a better product, for a fraction of the price? Lidl also sells a premium range which the discount supermarket claims offers advanced comfort, fit and flexibility. These nappies come in sizes one to five.Cash-strapped parents will welcome the free Lidl nappies and wipes but it is the box itself that potentially is the most valuable.
