If you are driving, we are just off the M6. Prefer to travel on two wheels? Getting around by bike is easy, with some stunning routes and views along the way. Bike hire is available at a number of destinations, with electric bikes as well as traditional road and mountain bikes. If you’re planning a family getaway in the Lake District, Cumbria, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing where to stay and what to do. The abundance of family friendly attractions and activities means there’s something for all ages to enjoy – from wildlife parks to museums; accessible walks to cycle trails. We Cumbrians love to celebrate things – food, music, literature, culture, the great outdoors – and nothing delights us more than sharing the wealth of our heritage and landscape with visitors from all over the world.
