And here are my results. These results are super surprising to me. For those who watched my first version of this test, these results are extremely different. Part of the reason for this is that this time, I am taking into account things like scannability and price into the equation. But even more than that, I just think I had a better process of development and scanning this time. Kentmere Pan 400 is panchromatically sensitised and can be processed in a wide range of different developers using spiral tanks, deep tanks, and automatic processors.

Absolutely minimal digital corrections were made for the minimally fogged UN54 vs Kentmere 100. A bit more corrections were needed on the really fogged N74 plus. Below you will find 1200px versions of my digitisations (entire frame, resized from the original appx. 6,000x4000px TIFFs) as well as 100% crops at 1200px wide. My conclusion findings is very much as expected after using Kentmere 100 and Ilford Pan 100 films before. Pan 100 is an awesome film that is well worth trying and Kentmere 100 is nice too. Shooting more Ilford Pan 400 on a run in Poland So to summarise, if you read my Kentmere 400 review my first impressions are nearly identical to as stated there. Kentmere 400 is a good film but if I have the choice of both films at similar prices I will buy 35mm Ilford Pan 400. More and more film rebranders using “a European emulsion” that always stays unnamed to coat their films. Fotoimpex clearly states that Kentmere / Fotoimpex CHM / Rollei RPX / Agfaphoto APX are basically the same film. I initially bought it because it was a film I hadn’t shot, and also because it was cheap. Fairly or unfairly, there then didn’t seem any reason to rush to shoot it.This type of film can accurately capture the brightness of all colors, unlike orthochromatic film which is not sensitive to red light.

I wanted to go into this experience with an open mind – not that I was particularly worried for any reason. I don’t mind grain in my images, and I know the exposure latitude would give me a very different feel to my images than I’m used to from my “usual” film – Delta 400. Next up is Fomapan, which, is also Arista EDU Ultra, which, is also HOLGA. It’s all the same emulsion. Fomapan 400 has been produced for by Foma, Czech company, for almost a hundred years. It is Europe’s popular budget-friendly brand. I’ve found that prices vary between its various brands, so I’ll usually watch and compare these prices and get the version which happens to be the cheapest at any given time. To read the news about the launch, head over to the post over here. This article is a full review of the film which includes a trip to the city of amour, Paris! Havane Cafe in Paris Film features & priceNow, you should know that the way any of these films look, both grain, contrast, sharpness, tonality, etc can all be drastically affected by your choice of developer, your development technique, and your scanning technique. The good news there is that, within reason, you can probably make most any film, developer, scanning, and post processing combination get you results you’re very pleased with if you experiment long enough. And any experienced film photographer would tell you that that’s exactly what you should do. I’ve read a few accounts of Kentmere Pan 400’s image quality and qualities so will relay them here before giving my own thoughts. Then immerse the film in this fixer solution for about 2-5 minutes at a temperature of 20°C (68°F), ensuring the film is continuously agitated for the first minute and subsequently for 10 seconds every minute thereafter.
