Description

I don’t normally like RGB too much, but its implementation here is wonderful. It’s controllable with the key combinations on the keyboard itself, and they’re all detailed in the excellent instruction manual – which doubles as a poster of an anime girl. For some reason. I grew up with Halo, but haven't had a console for a while now. I remember spending hours playing H3 matchmaking, as well as falling in love with the story. ANYWAYS, I was recently gifted a gaming PC, and I decided to buy MCC. I've been having a GREAT time playing the campaign again, but I've been struggling adapting to mouse and keyboard. I'm writing here with hope that someone else has been in my shoes, and might be able to help get me up on my feet!

Original story: You're probably well aware that the Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S all feature mouse and keyboard support in certain games, but you might not be aware of how far it extends, with over 100 games supporting it! The stabilizers on the longer keys like enter, shift, and the space bar are smooth, wobble, and noise free. These stabilizers keep the longer keys, well, stable, making sure that a keypress feels the same no matter where on the key you press. This is a great sounding board that feels and sounds great to type on. Lenovo is making a big deal about the pen, and I think it's with good reason. Here is what they say it is capable of and what inspired it from their press release: Lenovo also boasts that the keyboard "constantly 'learns about and adapts to' the typing habits of its user, with built-in prediction and artificial learning software. This software also allows for continuous optimization." Of course, we'll need to test it out to see how good it is compared to physical keys. From Apple, there’s the Apple Magic keyboard, but if you want a cheaper and better experience, then go for the NuPhy. It sounds better, arguably looks better, and will even fit perfectly in your Mac setup.

I am a big fan of these switches and their more pronounced tactile bumps, although you may feel differently depending on how you like your switches to feel. There are some great prebuilt boards out there, but this one really offers more than others at a similar price. For those that want a number pad, then there’s the Wombat Pine Pro that we’ve reviewed, and for similarly specced 75% boards there’s IQunix and its lines of boards. We've added a link to the newly-reviewed NuPhy Air75 V2 in the Single-Key Latency section of this review. Thankfully, if you’re a fan of different key switches, there are plenty of other options to choose from. There are linear options, that have no tactile bump. Gamers prefer this variety because they are easier to press, and they have a perceived higher point where the key registers the press. Hybrids haven’t really changed much in the last few years. We’ve seen detachable keyboards, 360-degree hinges and the like, but nothing that’s really made us sit up and take notice – until now. Meet Lenovo’s brand-new Yoga Book, a super slim 2-in-1 hybrid whose keyboard can double up as an actual paper notepad. Lenovo, you have my attention.

Do I honestly need a new keyboard, headset, mouse, and oversized mat that lights up? Of course not. But would seeing a desk full of Halo Infinite-inspired gear give me a childlike sense of joy every time I enter my office? You betcha, and that’s the beauty of limited edition hardware. You can see details for other variants and configurations below. We expect our test results to apply to all models. Name

A profile that stands out.

Lenovo’s hoping to squeeze around 15 hours of mixed-use battery life from the Yoga Book, but its 8,500mAh battery also supports fast-charging, so it should be relatively easy to top up throughout the day if you’re running low. A fast charger is included in the box, and Lenovo claims you’ll be able to get 80% in just 50 minutes. Some of these games only feature limited support, which means they might only work with keyboard or mouse, or might also require a controller to progress through the menus. It’s almost a mirror image of Wacom’s Bamboo Spark – only you can now see directly what you’re writing onscreen, rather than waiting for your notes to sync with your phone. Each Yoga Book comes with a magnetic clip so you can slot any kind of A5 notepad underneath the screen, and it can still register and digitise your pen strokes up to 10mm in paper depth. This is great if you prefer writing on paper, but the keyboard surface is a pretty good substitute as well, thanks to its convincing textured finish, which makes it feel almost as good as writing on paper when you don’t have a real pad to hand.

NuPhy Rose Glacier, NuPhy Night Breeze, Gateron Baby Raccoon, Gateron G Pro Red 2.0, Gateron G Pro Brown 2.0 It’s been three years in development – the longest period of time Lenovo has ever spent working on a single product – and it’s been six months since I last saw it in the flesh, during a behind-closed-doors sneak preview at this year’s MWC. That’s a long tease for a hybrid, but rest assured – it’s been worth the wait. Remnant 2 is supported, but the layout is of the controller's buttons. At first it's quite confusing, so I'll try to help a little: The pen itself has 2,048 levels of pressure sensitivity, and comes with two tips – one for drawing either onscreen or on the keyboard, and one for paper. The device has built-in palm rejection, too, so you can rest your hand on either surface without making any accidental marks, and all your notes are instantly converted into OneNote – or, if you’re using the Android version (yes, there will be two different models of the Yoga Book – one Windows and one Android), your notes will be saved to Lenovo’s proprietary Custom Note saving app. Weighing a meagre 690g, the Yoga Book is barely heavier than your standard notebook. It’s a delight to hold and bend round, and its tiny 9.6mm aluminium magnesium-alloy chassis (which tapers down to a mere 4.05mm on the screen side) is a real beauty. You’d expect no less from the world’s thinnest hybrid, but it’s the keyboard that really makes the Yoga Book stand out.Wired USB mice will work only in select games and apps that have enabled mouse navigation. Plug a USB keyboard into your Xbox for getting around the console and easy text entry." The display itself measures 10.1in across the diagonal and has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200. There’s 4GB of RAM onboard, as well as a 64-bit Intel Atom processor and 64GB of storage that can be expanded with a microSD card up to 128GB. The speakers support Dolby Atmos technology for enhanced audio, and 4G LTE versions will also be available depending on the market. The Halo Infinite-themed keyboard also comes with an ergonomic wrist rest, which attaches to your keyboard magnetically to ensure it doesn't slip and slide during your gaming sessions, and a bonus in-game reward: Deathly Poison Weapon Coating.

We've converted this review to Test Bench 1.3, which overhauls how key input is evaluated. We've added new tests for Single Key Latency, Multi Key Latency, Data Transmission, and Chord Split. We've also introduced a new Raw Performance usage and adjusted how the Gaming and Office usage scores are calculated. You can see the full changelog here. The Android 6 interface has been pretty much left alone by Lenovo, but it has included a few productivity tools to make it easier to use. Multi-window support is arguably the most useful feature here, letting you have up to four miniaturised windows onscreen at any one time, but you’ll also find a taskbar and standard keyboard shortcuts, giving it the same kind of laptop-friendly look as Google’s Pixel C. A free upgrade to Android Nougat will also be made available in the coming months. The Windows 10 version, meanwhile, will support Microsoft’s new Windows Ink feature, as well as Cortana and OneNote. What makes the Halo keyboard neat, though, is how it can hide the illuminated keyboard and instead, you can use it as a surface for taking notes, drawing, doodling and more. I have to admit, while drawing on the display is neat, it is not always ideal. That stylus If you're thinking about hooking up a keyboard and mouse to your Xbox, we've gathered a list of all Xbox games with mouse and keyboard support as a feature. A big thanks goes to the superb, user-updated Xbox KBM database for much of this list, and let us know if you're spotted any other games with KBM support down below. All Xbox Games With Mouse & Keyboard Support For those that want to do some customizing, there’s the Q1 from Keychron or the GMMK Pro from Glorious. They’ll cost you more, but you’ll get that custom keyboard at the end of it. Nuphy Halo 75: Should you buy this?Still, even if it is a little twitchy at first, Lenovo’s artificial learning software should make typing easier with time, as the keyboard will learn exactly where your fingers land when you hit certain keys and automatically adjust. For instance, if you always hit the spacebar below its defined area, then the Halo Keyboard will remember that and still register the keypress for you. The same goes for letter keys as well, and there’s even a predictive text engine, allowing you to type as fast as you would on a normal mobile device.
