Outright perfection!”—Christina Lauren, Kate Clayborn Fanclub Co-Presidents and Authors of The Soulmate Equation I will be very curious to see if people find this vibed a little different from past Clayborn's. Maybe it's just me and my headspace. But that's not a bad thing. It just feels very far away from LOVE LETTERING and more in line with her debut series. Again, not a bad thing. It's good to mess up your expectations a little. Georgie, All Along is a masterpiece. A MASTERPIECE. It's heart wrenching, spellbinding, magical. A romance that will stay with me for the longest time. Clayborn’s writing is magnetic, witty, and expansive. The world is going to fall hard for this deliciously whimsical and captivating story, and I cannot wait to see it!” —Ali Hazelwood, New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of The Love Hypothesis

Unfortunately—or serendipitously—Georgie’s parents have forgotten to mention that they’ve already organised a house-sitter—a local named Levi, who is a bit of a hermit and a man of few words, dealing with a bad reputation that’s followed him from his youth into his thirties. Honest and deeply emotional, Georgie, All Along is a smart, tender must-read for everyone who’s ever wondered about the life that got away . . . This time, instead of a review I would like to write a big, fat, red heart emoji if that’s okay with you, guys. Because - this book!!! This beautifully written, hilarious and wholesome book!Georgie, All Along is my first read + first 5 STAR for the new year, woohoo! What a promising start to 2023 – love this for me

Absolute perfection—this is the book you are looking for. Georgie All Along is a tour de force, beautifully written and full of charming characters, rich emotion, and delicious spice. With it, Kate Clayborn solidifies her place in romance royalty.” —Sarah MacLean, New York Times bestselling author While I didn’t get into the trouble Levi did as a teen, I related more to Levi than Georgie; I’m more into stable structure – chaos scares me. Georgie is the kind of person I’d like to be around and whom I’d admire for all of the qualities she has that I don’t, but I sometimes found it difficult to understand where she was coming from. I admit I didn’t quite see how the fic was going to give her any answers and in the end, I thought it was a bit of a McGuffin. Still, over the course of the book, Georgie realises who she is and her journey to self-acceptance was relatable. Start to finish there was just so much great here and I honestly don't know what else to say about it except : read it. I loved reading this sweet, fun, and vulnerable book! Before I get into the review, thank you so much to my lovely Cara for buddy reading this with me! 💕 And thank you to wonderful Dab for recommending this book! 💗 Georgie’s parents are out of town on one of their many road trips and Georgie will look after their plants and the house while she’s in town. Remember when I said that Georgie’s parents march to the beat of their own drum? Well, as it happens, they’ve also arranged another housesitter; Levi Fanning. The grumpy guy from the milkshake shop.

Need Help?

Constantly revealing new layers of lyricism… Love at First is poetry, then — sometimes an artful sonnet, other times halting free verse. But it's never anything short of miraculous.” —Entertainment Weekly, Grade A for Love at First

Then Georgie comes across a forgotten artifact-a ‘friendfic’ diary she wrote as a teenager, filled with possibilities she once imagined. To an overwhelmed Georgie, the diary’s simple, small-scale ideas are a lifeline – a guidebook for getting started on a new path. Perfect for Emily Henry fans. [This] is the love story that proves you can go home again...It's so rich and wonderful." - Julia Quinn on The TODAY Show okay i also just want to say that the first time georgie tells levi "i love you" is probably my fave scene i've read in a book in a long long time it's just UTTER. PERFECTION. As you can probably tell there’s a lot going on here. There’s Georgie’s relationship with Bel, Georgie’s relationship with her family, Georgie’s relationship with the town, Georgie’s relationship with herself, her past, and her future, and—finally—Georgie’s burgeoning relationship with the initially closed-off Levi. And, because of this, there are times when the book feels a little sprawling and structurally chaotic (although there’s a degree to which this is very reflective of its heroine, so I’m inclined to see this is a feature, not a bug) but, ultimately, all these connections come together absolutely beautifully---rendering this one of the most emotionally kind of nourishing? romances I’ve read for a very long time. Georgie is hilariously real, but not in the over-the-top way that gets annoying. She is messy, caring, thoughtful, and she is trying her best in this new phase of her life. I adored her instantly.Gorgeously written, full of complex characters, and friendships as strong as the central romance — all Clayborn staples.” —Bookriot I want Georgie to be my bff, guys. She was the most lovable, spontaneous and caring mess of a person, it was love at first sight. And Levi, the troubled soul? With his cold and aloof facade, that you call bs on immediately because of the way he loves his dog? I swear, this guy is exploding-ovaries level hot! Georgie’s parents: I’m including Paul and Shyla in my list of Awesome Parents in Lit because they are the bomb dot com. That last bit about Georgie realising that her parents have always given her a soft place to land made me burst into tears Clayborn spins a gentle tale of two people who set out to find themselves and stumble into love along the way…The smooth, vivid prose makes it easy to invest in the protagonists’ well-rendered character growth. This introspective romance is a treat.” —Publishers Weekly Told from alternating viewpoints, this tender and sexy contemporary romance from Clayborn also features strong friendships and will appeal to fans of Emily Henry.” —Library Journal, STARRED REVIEW
