About this deal

Start Disk Genius and extend the "ROMS" (FAT32) partition of the SD (you should see a 3.2GB partition, followed by "Free" space) to as large as it'll go, to fill the SD card: Updated the scummvm libretro core with "Virtual On-Screen Keyboard" and "Joypad mappings override" support (thanks to XQuader) Fixed the pixel budget calculator (this should fix some fringe-case games that previously overflowed the pixel budget and low resolution games that refused to properly scale with the bilinear multiply scalers) The Saves & Screenshots directories are now auto-created on boot (to work around some retroarch.cfg limitations... this fixes the screenshot issues people were reporting) Finally, I would recommend that you build your ROM library now, if you haven’t already. The device comes with a bunch of games, but they are poorly organized, in the Chinese language, or just outright buggy. Make a folder called “ROMS” or something like it, and make distinct folders for each of the systems you would like to play on your device. I recommend naming your game folders after the “Rom Folder” names found in this guide, because that’s how they’ll be organized on your device when using GarlicOS. For best results, unzip your files with the exception of Arcade/NeoGeo titles.

The PCSX ReARMed core has gotten a few performance improvements (which translate to 2~3 additional FPS) Create a folder for the multidisk game inside the PS folder, put your images there, create a text file on the PS folder and rename to .m3u, edit this file and just add the path to the disks, run the game and when it asks for the CD2, you open the menu and go to Disc Control>Eject Disc, change the Disc Index, then Insert it again or just use the shortcuts. Example: The folder structure now reflects that of a OnionOS Miyoo Mini MicroSD card (Roms, BIOS and Saves folder)Made the Bilinear3x scaling option the new default (its a little more lightweight than the Bilinear4x option and is good enough for the 640x480 screen inside this device, this translates to free performance gains pretty much) Fixed the O1555RGB color converter in the MAME2003-Xtreme core (fixes Captain Commando amongst others) The overlay render thread is now pinned to the fourth CPU core (which translates to free performance as RetroArch occupies mostly the first two CPU cores)

Bundled the ScummVM "BIOS" files (OnionOS seems fine doing it, so I figure they should be okay to have OOB) To include "Tomb Raider" for the PlayStation, also copy these files to the specified folder within the "ROMS" partition:Next, take your SD2 card and format it using the GUIformat tool linked in the Recommended software tools section above. Next, move the BIOS and ROMS folders to the SD2 card and you are good to go. So if you use Pungent Best Set, note that you might want to replace the NES roms with USA versions. RetroArch Video Settings Set the Bilinear4x NEON scaler as the new default (this reduces CPU consumption by about 50% and increases graphical fidelity) As part of our RG Nano review we tested the battery and can confirm around 2.5 on average use running a mix of different emulators. Operating SystemOverview

Rename your image files. Your image file names need to match the game file exactly (i.e. Super Mario World (US).png for Super Mario World (US).sfc). You can do this by hand, or Skraper will name the image files appropriately for you during the scraping process. Added a 100ms wind-up time to scroll animations (this should prevent accidental item skips on single d-pad presses) The HDMI port on the rg35xx is a Mini HDMI port. To use the HDMI, get a "Mini HDMI Male to HDMI Female Cable" and plug one end into the 35xx, and the other end into a standard HDMI cable. Tech Info Core Mappings Cores that don't support savestates will now display a message indicating so in the recent game menuThere are no save states for this game, so you will need to do in-game saves (the game will prompt you to save every time you earn a star).
