Description

Please note that the Ass Saver Fendor Bendor, although very useful and highly appreciated by the cycling community, is only an emergency mudguard and does not have the same efficiency as a full mudguard. Scope of delivery: Mudguards offer numerous benefits including keeping riders dry, comfortable, and free from the debris that comes with gravel riding, while also extending the lifespan of bike components by protecting them from the elements. In summary, riders have a wide range of mudguard options to choose from, each offering different levels of protection, ease of installation, and price points. Whether you prefer a minimalist approach, full-coverage protection, or a balanced solution, there is a mudguard option available for all types of bikes and budgets. Practical Considerations to Keep in Mind Before Choosing Your Gravel Bike Mudguards Fenders / mudguards that attach to the frame and fork of your bike are incredibly versatile. They are easy to take on and off and fit a wide range of different bikes. The downside is that in attaching to your frame, they run a very real risk of damaging your paintwork - and in extreme circumstances, even your frame. With the newly developed attachment construction,Fendor Bendor regularis nowcompletely self-supportedand therefore possible to mount on bikes without the sideway support of the seat stays or the support of a brake bridge. You could also mount it above your caliper brake to avoid interference with the brake.

The Fendor Bendor fits all frames with standard seat stays. It's self supportive and doesn't require support from the brake bridge or the seat stays. It can also be mounted directly on a seat post (as low as possible for best effect). The Fendor Bendor will not fit if you have monostay frame or center pull brake. While mountain bikers are used to mud, gravel bikers face a different challenge. Anyone who has ridden on a wet gravel road is familiar with the mixture of fine sand and water that seems to be designed especially to seek and destroy bearings, not to mention what it does to your eyes on a long ride. The thing with the Fendor Bendor Big is that you do still have to squeeze it between the seatstays. Every bike I’ve used it on has had a seatstay bridge, and it’s been relatively tight to fit it in that tiny triangle. That also means that I couldn’t get it any closer to the rear tire. As we saw on both of the front fenders, the closer I could get the thing to the tire, the better they did with catching wheel spray.

In summary, ensure that you think about bike clearance and fit, weight, protection level, and ease of installation and removal when deciding on the ideal gravel bike mudguards for your needs. By considering these practical factors, you’ll likely make the best choice and enjoy a more comfortable, cleaner ride during wet or muddy conditions. Front vs. Rear Mudguards: Which One Should You Choose? The MUDDER Mini will fit all gravel/cx forks with clearance for tire widths between 32 mm up to 55 mm. It will not work on a road fork with narrow clearance or for fat bikes. The correct position is about 10 mm above the tire. Aligning the position to the tire and not the fork crown increases efficiency and is made possible by our custom hook and loop straps. Make sure that the mudguard doesn't touch your down tube when turning the handlebar. For a total of just 37€, it isn’t high cost that would keep you from trying out a full set of Ass Savers. The Mudder Mini on its own seems like a no-brainer for me, and it’s the one that stays attached to any gravel bike I ride, all the time. The Fendor Bendor Big gets the dirty job done. The all new attachment makes fitting without tools a breeze, to virtually every bike in just a few seconds. Ass Savers aims to make effective guards that are as discrete and lightweight as possible for those with an "if I must" attitude to mud protection. The Fendor Bendor Big rear guard is one of the largest rear guards in the range for gravel bikes and MTBs. Often overlooked, these unsung heroes of the cycling world can provide protection from debris and the dreaded “soggy bottom” while still maintaining your bike’s cool aesthetic. So, strap on your helmet and get ready to dive into the world of gravel bike fenders, as we explore the various options, benefits, and installation tips to keep you riding smoothly across the unbeaten path, while looking and feeling great! Mudguards for Gravel Bikes: The Ultimate Game Changer for Wet Weather Riding

With the newly developed attachment construction,Fendor Bendor Bigis nowcompletely self-supportedand therefore possible to mount on bikes without the sideway support of the seat stays or the support of a brake bridge. You could also mount it above your caliper brake to avoid interference with the brake.I preferred the 55cm long x 8cm wide Big version (over the 54×6.5cm regular) because more is better. My gravel & road tires keep getting wider, and an extra 10g up to 60g is inconsequential with the promise of a bit of extra coverage. Both cost just 15€ too, so price isn’t an issue either. In addition, mudguards will add weight to the bike, but the trade-off in comfort and protection is often worth it. Even if your tire isn’t rubbing on the fenders / mudguards, when the conditions are particularly muddy - and if the clearance isn’t capacious - you’ll end up with a large amount of unwelcome resistance as the accumulating clag acts as a brake on your tire. In particularly muddy conditions, a narrower tire can be the better option, all things considered. delivery time refers to destination country Netherlands. to see the country-specific delivery time. The Fendor Bendor is one of the oldest design in the Ass Savers toolbag. This new version gets an updated velcro strap attachment, revised attachment shape, and a rubber pad that holds it securely to your seattube. That means now it doesn’t need a seatstay bridge to support it.
