In Auto/Medium mode, the V15 Detect will automatically adjust its suction power based on the level of dust detected by the piezo sensor, though this feature only works when you're using one of the cleaner heads or the hair screw tool. Setting Up and Using the V15 Detect

The Torque-Drive goes a few steps further. The vacuum cleaner can detect the floor type and automatically adjust the cleaning mode, thanks to sensors in the brush.While we can’t fault the suction of the V15 Detect - it collected all of the dirt and debris such as small stones and even a few leaves, along with human hair that had collected on the driver’s seat with ease, in handheld mode the vacuum is bulky. This meant we struggled to fully vacuum under the driver and passenger front seats, as well in the storage areas on the center console, which frequently attract dust and debris. The anti-tangle hair screw tool, also new to this generation, is another standout attachment. It features a cone-shaped brush bar that "spirals hair off and into the bin." Dyson says it tested the tool to ensure it prevents both human and pet hair from becoming wrapped around the brush bar. Combined with the V15 Detect's strong suction power, this attachment easily lifted dog fur from couch cushions and pillows, far surpassing the performance of my older V8. All of that fur was successfully transferred to the bin, with not a single piece left behind on the brush bar.

But more importantly, the vacuum saves a lot of energy thanks to the automatic suction level adjustment. The charging time is quite long – 4.5 hours. We noticed this with many cordless vacuum cleaner models. It seems like the next stage of development is necessary for better battery performance.
