Catch special Fourth of July fireworks on July 3 and 4 at Magic Kingdom, and a special presentation of "Heartbeat of Freedom" at EPCOT on July 4, plus red, white and blue treats and specialty entertainment around the resort. The Walt Disney World Marathon is the biggest runDisney event that takes place. Know that there may be longer waits for transportation, as well, as certain roads and routes are closed to make way for runners. The biggest variable for spring is when Easter falls. When it's earlier, you can expect a shorter, more intense "spring break" season — and therefore, more crowds at Disney World. When it's later, there is generally a longer but less intense season as school districts vary more on when they let kids out. In 2024, Easter falls on March 31, and in 2025, it will fall on April 20. Because it's a more condensed period, 2024's spring break season will feel busier than in 2025. You'll see these noted on our Crowd Calendar, as well.
