I’m very specific in this post when I reference which products are gluten-free and safe to eat. So please don’t assume that, just because you’ve seen one product from a particular brand in this post, that every product by the same brand is also gluten-free. However, watch out for supermarket-specific products which you won’t find elsewhere (such as M&S, Morrisons and Aldi products) though I have made an effort to name the specific supermarket in the caption below each photo so you know where to find them. Ocado always has a good selection of Easter eggs, many of which are gluten free. They also have a good selection of dairy free including some more luxurious eggs from the like of Booja booja that you would not find in supermarkets. All of the Easter Eggs in this section of guide, at the time of writing, are gluten free and safe for people with coeliac disease.

Aldi's free from Easter eggs Gluten Free Easter EggsAs I mentioned, most of these are down the seasonal Easter aisle so it can be a literal Easter egg hunt to find the right ones. So make sure you allow yourself enough time to make sure you’ve got the ones pictured which are safe for us to eat. Generally, most of these eggs are found in the seasonal aisle of supermarkets, but you will often find the gluten-free and dairy-free eggs down the free from aisle. You’ll find these products across Morrisons, Asda, Sainsburys, Tesco, Aldi and M&S – I’ve labelled the specific supermarket where relevant in the caption of each photo.

But personally I couldn't wait to try some of their latest arrivals, especially those that have an orange flavour. Their Twirl orange Easter egg, which come with two Twirl bars too, and their Dairy Milk Orange mini eggs were the one's that took my fancy straight away. Also, please don’t assume that last year’s products are always gluten-free. Some products such as Smarties Mini Eggs or Milkybar Mini Eggs are no longer gluten-free, even though they used to be ok in the past. There isn’t as much on offer for us as there is in Tesco, but you will spot a few eggs here that you won’t find outside of Sainsburys so it’s definitely worth a look.

You may find one size Easter egg from a brand is gluten free, while a different size has a 'may contain' warning.If you're not avoiding dairy, many 'normal' Easter eggs are free from gluten-containing ingredients anyway. Recipes can change and vary at the drop of a hat so you should always be on the safe side when trying to find ones that are gluten free. Also, 99.9% of the dairy-free products will likely be found down the free from aisle so remember to head straight there if you’re dairy-free. 1.
