The Caliburn AK2 uses refillable A2 Pods for a simple experience. These all-in-one pods have a coil and mouthpiece pre-installed, so all you need to do is fill it up with your favourite e-liquid. Once the pod has expired simply swap it out for a new one! This innovative fill & go approach makes the Caliburn range extremely popular with new vapers. Not the tightest MTL airflow I have experienced but still quite restricted and to me absolutely spot on. Uwell Caliburn AK2 Mod Performance The Uwell Caliburn AK2 pod vape kit is one of the most compact kits on the market. Simple to use, it creates a small amount of vapour for an MTL (Mouth To Lung) vape. Powered by a built-in 520mAh battery, it can last up to a full day on a single charge and is very slim. The ideal option for new vapers or anyone looking for a simpler vape, each kit comes complete with two Caliburn A2 refillable pods to help you get started.
You can either remove the pod from the device or keep it installed. I did find it easier to remove the mouthpiece with the pod still in the body. Apart from the filling being pants I would otherwise have given this 10/10 for ease of use – such a shame.Warning: If the coils has a sub-ohm resistance, please make sure you have a great understanding and technical knowledge on how to use mods and batteries that can handle Sub-Ohm coils. Do not use short or flat 510 connection on any hybrid or hybrid style device. If you are not familiar or unsure of particular products or set-ups, please do not use it. The pod attaches magnetically to the battery and the magnets are quite strong, however the pod pops out every time I drop the AK2 so they could be stronger. There is a tiny bit of pod wiggle if you try moving the pod around, but none in regular day to day use.Always buy your battery products from a reputable company, such as Vape Shop, who can offer you quality assurance and safety. Under the mouthpiece are the fill and vent ports. Also there is a centre port which is where the vapour comes out. You need to make sure to only fill the Red port, adding e-liquid to the others could cause issues such as spitting. L-R = Vent port, Vapour Port, Red Fill Port
As part of Uwell’s “A” series devices, the AK2 is meant to be very easy to use. For those who are unfamiliar, Uwell has split their caliburn devices into two series: A and G. The A series uses pods with built-in coils, while the G series uses removable and replaceable coils. This makes the A series devices more suited to beginner vapers and those who want a device that is easy to use and vape with. Do not store your batteries in extreme temperature conditions. Excessive heat or cold are bad for batteries/cells. The pods are compatible with the A3. These are not compatible with other previous Caliburn pods unfortunately. L-R: Caliburn AK3, Caliburn A3 This Uwell Caliburn AK2 KIT is made of Aluminum and Plastic and is sure to turn heads. the Caliburn Koko AK2 has an airflow entrance and a lanyard hole at the top of the same side. The lanyard is considerably simpler, composed of a dark grey elastic silicone material that is comfy. A USB C-Port for charging and battery vents are located on the bottom of the device. The built-in mesh coils will heat up your e-liquid faster for improved flavour. You won’t need to worry about messy coil changes either, as you just replace the entire pod instead. To match the 1.0 Ohm resistance of the coils inside your pods, we suggest pairing them with a 50% VG e-liquid or a higher PG option for best results.
The UWELL Caliburn AK2 is a suave pod system designed and optimised for a satisfying vape. This device works perfectly with a range of e-liquid types, including nicotine salts and freebase liquids. A generous 520mAh battery provides several hours of use between charges and can be topped up to 90% in only 35 minutes due to speedy USB-C technology.
When working with Li-ion (Lithium-ion), LiPo (Lithium-ion Polymer) and any rechargeable cells, please be cautious and carefully use as they are very sensitive to charging characteristics and may explode or burn if mishandled. Please make sure that you have great knowledge on all rechargeable batteries before you use them. Always charge batteries at the clean and fire-proof surface. Never leave charging batteries unattended. If you see that there are visible damages on the batteries, please do not use. Always keep, store and transport the rechargeable cells in a safe, non-conductive container in controlled environment. I give the OXVA Xlim 0.8ohm V2 pods 10/10 and this A3 pod is pretty close at 9.5/10! The only slight criticism is it is a dry vapour. Not as “juicy” as the OXVA. Of course this really helps mimic the dryness you get from cigarette smoke so it gives a very similar sensation to smoking.

Most importantly, the refillable and replaceable pod is magnetically attached to the device and features a leak-proof top filling system while accommodating 2 ml of either nicotine salts or freebase E-Juice. The dual firing system allows users to either fire the device via the firing button or the draw-activated firing system. In addition, the Caliburn AK2 kit features a rapid charge Type-C USB port, drastically reducing the time need to re-charge. Conclusion : Note– Updated 23/1/23 – I am still using the original pod, 14 days since this was published – I use it on average for 1 charge daily so approximately 2 refills a day – so works out roughly 43 refills so far!) Please note: It doesn't come with a USB-C charging cable.Also, the Caliburn AK2 can not be used with the original Caliburn pods or Caliburn Koko pods.
