Plastic angle trim is manufactured by an extrusion process. Raw materials in the form of compound are fed into an extruder machine. The compound is heated and the molten polymer is pushed through a die. The die is a tool used in manufacturing to form material to a desired shape of the plastic trim. In this case the shape is a 90-degree L shape angle. The plastic profile is held in shape by formers and goes through water baths as part of the cooling process.
