Description

It might not scream your love for Pokémon quite as much as something that's bright blue and covered in images of Pikachu, but it would certainly be easier to sit and play in front of a bunch of Digimon fans. Pokémon White Edition Image: Nintendo This special GameBoy Advance SP was released in Pokémon Centers across Japan to tie in with the release of Pokémon Emerald. It's a green GBA SP with a Rayquaza print on both the inside and the outside of the console. The Nintendo 3DS XL, or Nintendo 3DS LL in Japan, was a larger model of the Nintendo 3DS. It featured a more streamlined design and stronger battery life This special Pokémon DS Lite was released via a special promotion in the Pokémon Daisuki Club. In it, people could apply to win the console which features a special Chimchar print on the case. Winners of this DS Lite were very few, with only 40 of the consoles being given. 25 through the Sugoroku Pokémon Battle tournament, and 15 through the Pokémon Type de Battle You see I bought the OG model around when splatoon 3 released IIRC but then shortly after, the Pikachu and Eevee model came out and I just had to have it, but when it released money was super tight, so I couldn't really afford to get it. But my Nan gave me some christmas money to put towards it so with her help, I traded my old one in for that. I was so ridiculously grateful, because it just seemed so silly to spend money on something I already had, but she didn't care she knew how much I liked Pokemon (at the time not so much now) we used to play for hours with my Pokemon plushies when I was a kid, making up stories with them. But yeah she's no longer with us. So it just reminds me of her in a weird way. She just had the most kindhearted generous soul and would have done anything for her family if they needed it and I miss her dearly.

A similar (albeit more cute) way of customising your console was achieved by the New Nintendo 3DS Pokémon cover plates. There was a boatload of these out there with designs ranging from Pikachus (obviously) to a giant Charizard or Blastoise. If you opted for one of these instead of forking out the money for a whole new console, we tip our Poké-caps to you. This week's Nintendo Direct revealed that we're getting a rather snazzy new 2DS XL design based on a PokéBall, but - as is often the case - Japan is getting an exclusive model which is even better. This special coverplate for the New Nintendo 3DS comes with Primal Groudon & Primal Kyogre embossed on it. It is semi-transparent meaning the innards of the 3DS can be seen through the base.. This special model of the New Nintendo 3DS is to be released in Japan to celebrate the release of Pokémon Sun & Pokémon Moon. It features the new Pokémon Solgaleo & Lunala This special GameBoy Advance was released in the Pokémon Center in New York to commemorate its opening, later with a nationwide launch in September 2002 and was later released in Japanese Pokémon Centers. It features a special gold colour and a silhouette of Pikachu & Pichu to the side of the logo

List of Model Revisions for the Nintendo 3DS

This might just be one of the most well-known Pokémon designs out there. Everyone saw one of these at some point, we're pretty sure. And how could you miss it? With that bright yellow and very close Pikachu, it's not one that you'd forget in a hurry. Nintendo 2DS Special Edition Sun & Moon Light Blue 2DS Image: Nintendo

This special GameBoy Advance SP was released in Pokémon Center New York. It is a blue colour and has a Kyogre embossed on the case and a small silhouette on the inside This model was also customisable with many face plates being released for it allowing you to customise it with faceplates of your favourite games or game characters. It also added functionality to scan amiibo through the bottom screen This special model of the New Nintendo 3DS is to be released in Japan to celebrate the release of Pokémon Sun & Pokémon Moon. This special Pokémon DS Lite was released via a special promotion in the Pokémon Daisuki Club. In it, people could apply to win the console which features a special Pikachu print on the case. Winners of this DS Lite were very few, with only 40 of the consoles being given. 25 through the Sugoroku Pokémon Battle tournament, and 15 through the Pokémon Type de Battle. This print was very similar to the other Daisuki Club Pikachu DS Lite, but featured a new logo. There were some designs that we couldn't throw into the above list on account of them not being proper consoles in their own right, but we thought that they deserved a mention anyway. So, the likes of the SE Game Boy Light, the Pokémon Third Anniversary Game Boy Colour, the Latios and Latias, Celebi and Suicuna GBAs and a lot of those Gen III GBA SPs are excluded from the ranking. So too are membership-only releases like the Daisuki Club DS Lites and those awarded only in competitions like the Worlds 2010 Edition DSi. We'd like to thank Bulbapedia for outlining many of the available (and, indeed, unavailable) consoles prior to us putting this list together. Here is a link, if you know German go read this: https://www.golem.de/news/new-nintendo-2ds-xl-im-test-schwaches-hardware-finale-1707-129138.html One of the few Pokémon-themed DS Lites to be made readily available to those outside of Daisuki Club members, even this Pikachu model was originally only obtainable via a lottery at Japanese Pokémon Centers.
