Also is this supposed to be Beauty and the Beast or Sleeping Beauty? Because Katee tagged this as Beauty and the Beast but named her Briar Rose and I’m so sorry but I despise that.

It was galling to be at a loss, both for words and for logic. Those were her defences. In that respect, perhaps they weren't so different after all? Malfoy used words too, but his motives were rarely neutral. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. * I started reading this in 2014 but about halfway through, I gave up on it. I DON'T HOW OR WHY SO DON'T ASK ME. Buuut, it's 2017 now and I'm a different person and I'M GLAD I GAVE THIS STORY A SECOND CHANCE BECAUSE IT IS GOLD! Imara was bullied as a child & teen by her entire village. Then upon discovering her magical powers after she was basically exiled by the village, she learns she is the only one who can save her hometown from ancient dark evil forces. No more on the plot, or it would be a spoiler. She and the irritating prat will have to figure out how to break the bond without giving into the mounting temptation to complete it. Assuming they don’t kill each other first.

Ressler, Karen (January 24, 2015). "Rei Tōma's New Manga Series is 'Bride of the Water God' ". Anime News Network . Retrieved April 25, 2018. I have waited long for this day.” His voice was low, graveled. The way a mountain would speak. Reverberations thrummed into her veins, vibrating across her skin, singing to her bones. A storm roaring through a granite canyon, echoing in a call she knew. Or ought to know. The story is well built with a world of magic. The side characters are fun and entertaining. Slyvi almost immediately comes to mind. It was quite remarkable. The small, childlike part of him that never failed to be routinely surprised by magic and was sitting up and paying attention.I scan her critically, but do not immediately detect any faults. Lady Cerelle has rather enchanting green eyes, clear fair skin, long wavy hair almost as pale as my own, and rosy pink lips that simply beg to be kissed. This story really touched me, partially because I went through the bullying thing as a child & turned it around in my late teens. But it's also incredibly well written.

I thought this was a hostage situation,” Aegon puts in dryly. “To make sure the Lannisters do our bidding.” You would like this book if you wished Uprooted by Naomi Novik was more of a romance novel. I enjoyed reading it, but probably would have enjoyed it more if that comparison wasn't always in the forefront of my mind. It was impossible not to compare them: they are so similar. In this book, the stakes felt lower and the characters, except for Imara, felt less three-dimensional. Hermione was her usual self and so was Draco. Draco was as arrogant as ever, never failing to maintain his composure and just be himself. Definitely not an OOC Draco, I LOVE ARROGANT DRACO. But I've gotta say, if a guy treated me in the same shitty way Draco treated Hermione at first, I'd kill him. BUT THEN AGAIN, HE'S SO CARING AND ADORABLE AND HE'S MY BABY, OKAY? I LOVE MY BABY.An empty bottle of Ogdens was lying on its side on the dresser; a large, wet patch was still drying on the carpet just below. Clothing was strewn about, like victims of some sort of frenzied, laundry massacre. The formal robes he wore the previous evening lay squashed in a corner, green and silver Slytherin crest just visible in the crumple. Hermione steeled herself, anticipating a barrage of verbal abuse. But he didn't come for her, didn't even look at her. Rather, he seemed entirely occupied collecting his clothing. Can I just say how much I love this cover!! It's like an old bodice ripper but with a freakin' dragon holding the little lady. Awesome! Get off your high horse Granger," he said wearily, as he located his shoes and set them on the dresser. "In the real world, yes, even the magical world, people have sex. That's how we make little wizards and witches." They say the only way you can tell a Lannister man and woman apart is by the beards,” Aegon whispers impishly, as we await the arrival of the Lannisters in the crowded throne room.

The blasted charm was going to take a bit of clever magic to undo. Granted he was no expert on Incredibly Stupid Spells, but from what he knew, marriage tattoos constituted blood magic and as such were notoriously difficult to remove. Not unlike the Dark Mark, Draco thought, with a sigh. Only two Death Eaters had ever attempted to remove said Mark and currently, only one was alive to tell the tale. Asahi, a modern-day child, is whisked away to a strange land set in a village in the past. She then befriends a boy named Subaru, who helps Asahi grow accustomed to her new life. Despite Subaru's efforts, Asahi gets in trouble when she's offered as a human sacrifice to a water dragon god! On what seems to be a whim, the god takes a liking to Asahi and decided to make her his bride once she grows older. However, he steals her voice with the intention of returning it to her when she becomes of age. Briar has just sold her soul to a demon for seven years of servitude. Running from an abusive husband, Briar feels like it's the only solution to her life right now. Instead of gruesome work, this demon puts her in an auction and she is taken by a dragon king. Sol, the dragon king himself, needs a human wife. It's a good thing he's about to have one for seven years only... Unless they want to keep at it for longer. I hesitate, unwilling to admit just how very attracted I was to Cerelle. Desire is a weakness after all.No record recounted their creation, purpose, or capabilities. Everything the Dragon Houses knew came from centuries of trial and error. Today Hermione planned on adding to that body of knowledge. Relief washes over me as I discover this is not the case, when Lord Jason finally steps to the side to present his daughter, with a dramatic flourish more fitted to a mummer's farce than the imposing halls of the Red Keep. She might have spat at him if she had been close enough. Regrettably, she had chosen to sit out on the third year, projectile-spitting sessions conducted by Ron, Harry and Dean Thomas, over the North Tower. Overall, I was fairly entertained by this book by Christis Christie and Elle Beaumont; 'The Dragon's Bride'. The story itself was decent. However, there are some issues. First, the pacing seems odd. The entire thing takes place in a matter of a couple of months, most of the time being spent in jumps. It seems as though either the details needed to be greater, or the scope of time needed to be greater. When you focus on that limited of time, it seems like it would be necessary to get down to the fine details. Another issue is the scope of the setting. Nearly everything takes place in a single valley, yet the reader is supposed to be made to believe that the impending peril is overwhelming. The third and probably largest issue I found was that there were occasions when the grammar and syntax seemed to change jarringly for a few sentences. I don't know if this is caused by having two authors contributing, or if it was added to make the book seem more fantastical. Either way, it would completely jolt me out of any level of immersion.
