I have tried this twice. The older batch smelled like freshly-spinning cotton candy and it was so sweet it made me nauseous. I wrote off any Spicebomb for a few years because I tried this first and it was "the peak" of the line. NightVision EDT was also a disappointing candy apple and tree mixture. Infrared EDP? Just throw some cinnamon on NightVision. I really don't know why this one gets sooooo much hype and ends up in a plethora of top ten lists constantly. I like it don't get me wrong, but that's it, like. I've had my bottle about 3 years or so, bought it before it shot up in price - and I've used about 5ml of it. I know all fragrances are subjective by nature, but when it starts getting colder and the nights get darker earlier, I reach for at least a dozen frags over this. Former dancers for Lizzo are suing the singer. They claim, among other things, that she invited them to start "catching dildos launched from the performers’ vaginas" at a sex club. Lizzo denies the claims, but one thing is certain: "Spicebomb Night Vision EDP" is the vagina-launched dildo of men's fragrances. This particular fragrance has enough *lift* to be noticeable, but it's actually not what I'd call a "bomb", it's still polite and treads the line between interesting and enjoyable to the masses. Longevity is decent.

I just truly think people are not appreciating what a great fragrance this is. One of the best offerings in 2015 by a designer house without question. If Tom Ford put this in bottles, the love rating would be far greater than its likes or dislikes. Or probably not, as some might say he did this already...lol. This scent wowed me and the original didn't. The original is a boy. This Extreme Flanker is that boy as a man. Longevity is great also. It last 9+ hours on my skin and really projects during the first 3-4 hours. After that it became less potent but never quite became a skin scent on me until about hour 6-7. It will however linger longer on clothes which is great for me as i like to spray the inside of my tshirts. This perfume is very reminiscent of a Mexican candy that comes out every year around Halloween called “Canelitas”, it is a hard candy made with the fakest and strongest of all cinnamon artificial flavors, plus some undetermined hot spice and a whole lot of sugar… and don’t get me wrong, as a kid I used to love “Canelitas”, and right now I kind of like this perfume… it’s just that it seems very synthetic and a really mediocre attempt to reinterpret other successful citrusy based fragrances, while, at the same time, trying to make it “unique” by adding a whole lot of spices and sweetness.

Even so Eros has Candied Apple in the opening Night Vision has an even stronger gourmand sweet minty candy apple vibe with definitely a creamy pistachio nut undertone where Eros has more bakeshop vanilla within the sweetness. Both come through as being bold statement frags letting those around you know that you came to have a good time and look sexy and confident doing it. Opening is spicy, sweet, and fruity. I can smell all the individual notes from the first spray, but the strongest off the top are the cinnamon, saffron, and red fruits. After about an hour after spraying the tobacco and vanilla-ish benzoin become more noticeable. It stayed that way through the rest of the dry down. This is a safe blind buy if you like sweet and spicy fragrances, or you enjoy the Spicebomb line as it doesn't deviate too far from the Spicebomb DNA. I chose this fragrance after smelling countless colognes in my lifetime and never really being keen on anything, as most of the time they all sort of start smelling the same. This one was different- it almost has this cinnamon - vanilla undertone that really is unique, seductive, and rich. I also have to commend Viktor & Rolf on their product design- it’s a beautiful bottle.

I just recently traded something else for this after testing it for a few months, and I absolutely love this stuff. I think there is something in the opening that I'm missing out on though (something I'm noseblind to), because I spray it on and for the first 5 minutes it's very weak, and then it gradually gets stronger thereafter.

I get the sense that Night Vision EDP is geared towards single guys who don’t put a ton of thought into their scent but want compliments galore. That’s what Night Vision EDP feels designed to do and never misses a beat in the type of customer it is courting. The bottle and general aesthetic make it seem like a prop from the latest Call of Duty video game. Wear this fragrance and be a super solider armed with the latest weapons of mass seduction. The ladies won’t know what hit them as you come on with the subtlety of a hand grenade. On second thought, maybe they will, but you’ll still smell great even if Night Vision EDP may be hard to distinguish from other fragrances in its category.
