The material at the front of the guard is made using a slightly thinner material so it can be trimmed to optimise the fit to your specific bike. A surprisingly effective mudguard for days and rides when you may not have full guards fitted. Like most of the formed guards, the Pro Guard has a three-point fixing via the brace and fork lowers.
