Description

You do miss out on a few things, including the camera and display connectors. It’s a slight shame, as it means you can’t use the 400 for developing projects that use either accessory, moving them to a regular Pi when you’re done. The bigger loss is that there’s no 3.5mm audio output for hooking up external speakers or a pair of headphones.

The Raspberry Pi 400 is a convenient all-in-one computer that’s super easy to set up, and feels that bit more robust and easy to use than its predecessors. The Raspberry Pi 400 comes equipped with a wireless LAN adaptor which will enable any one of you to take your Raspberry Pi device away with you anywhere! Raspberry Pi computers have never been so portable and accessible! For those of you at home, a wireless connection isn’t necessary as it, also a Gigabit Ethernet port. Versatile and Affordable At launch, we are supporting English (UK and US), French, Italian, German, and Spanish keyboard layouts, with (for the first time) translated versions of the Beginner’s Guide. In the near future, we plan to support the same set of languages as our official keyboard. Buy the computer We keep saying it… because it’s amazing. Raspberry Pi 400 is a fully integrated personal computer inside a keyboard – just plug in and play! It also means you don’t have to waste any space with a clunky desktop PC. Having the GPIO so accessible means that this computer still fulfils its goal of letting people easily develop their own electronics projects. Raspberry Pi 400 has various connectors and interfacing options: two USB 3.0 ports and a single USB 2.0 port for peripherals; two micro-HDMI ports, supporting up to 4k resolution; Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac wireless networking and Bluetooth 5; and a standard 40-pin GPIO port, supporting Raspberry Pi HAT expansion boards. There are endless possibilities with this amazing computer that you can take anywhere

We let a handful of people take an early look at Raspberry Pi 400 so they could try it out and pull together their thoughts to share with you. Here’s what some of them made of it. One issue that I had with the Pi 4 was that the processor would get quite warm when pushed, throttling itself slightly. Raspberry Pi has clearly worked on heat dissipation for the 400 as I never got the warning thermometer icon telling me that the computer was running too hot. The familiar 40-pin GPIO pins are located at the rear of the keyboard for wiring up electronics projects, alongside two USB 3.0 ports and a USB 2.0 port. There's even an on/off power option via the F10 key (for full power disconnection, grab a USB-C on/off switch cable). We were impressed by last year’s Raspberry Pi 4, which is still available. The company has recently consolidated the success of the most powerful Pi to date with its Compute Module 4 for server clusters and embedded systems, and now it’s bringing out this dedicated desktop PC, powered by a variant of the Pi 4. What’s in the box? Why did you opt out of using the compute module for this? Wasn’t it specific the purpose of the compute module, to facilitate designs like this, where the complex part could be replaced by swapping it out or just ease the design? I’m citing you below. I would like to be really impressed by this product, as i were until i saw it’s custom board.

We keep saying it… because it’s amazing. Raspberry Pi 400 is a fully integrated personal computer inside a keyboard – just plug in and play! It also means you don’t have to waste any space with a clunky desktop PC. Revolutionary Raspberry Pi
