About this deal

The sound between the OpenRun and the OpenMove is incredibly similar, so similar that I expect that they used the exact same drivers in both Per loro natura hanno un filtro-passa alto sui 100ish Hz, il che significa che non hanno proprio bassi. Riescono comunque a dare tutto un loro sound alle canzoni.

The OpenRun Pro have new bass transducers in the earpieces that deliver greatly improved sound (Image credit: Future)The OpenRun fits differently then the OpenMove but I find the comfort level to be basically the same on both, it is kind of nice to have 2 different ones, so that if I one starts to irritate a spot on my ears I can switch to the other. If you’re looking for headphones that are primed for getting sweaty with and you don’t want to drown out the world, the Shokz OpenRun are currently your best option behind the newer and upgraded Shokz OpenRun Pro. Open-Ear Comfort - OpenRun Mini’s innovative design features a featherweight, wraparound frame and wireless, open-ear fit for comfortable, earbud-free listening. Includes Shokz headband. IP67 Waterproof Rated - Completely sweat and waterproof for workouts, fitness and running. Moisture detection alert included for safe charging. (Not suitable for swimming.)

In ambienti tanto rumorosi bisogna alzare così tanto il volume che inizia a fare solletico sulla pelle. Whether you choose OpenRun or OpenRun Mini, bone-conduction headphones will soon become your favorite training partner!

If we’re talking about sound quality, then the OpenRun don’t go leaps and bounds beyond they're predecessors, though they do show some subtle improvements, particularly in terms of clarity and bass. The Shokz OpenRun Mini is built with durable materials to ensure its longevity and can withstand the rigors of an active lifestyle. It features an ergonomic design that helps prevent irritation and discomfort, even during prolonged use. The earphone also offers a secure fit to prevent it from falling out during intense movements or exercises. Secondly, the charging connector has been repositioned. Like the OpenRun, the OpenRun Pro use a proprietary magnetic charging cable, which is much easier to connect than the fiddly micro-USB used by older models. However, for the newer model, Shokz has moved the charging port so it's no longer in line with the control buttons, making the cable easier to connect.

The OpenRun is a good headest that is slightly better the the OpenMove in a couple of ways, but they sound pretty much exactly the same, and the comfort level is basically the same, so I do not think that the OpenRun justifies it's higher price. Despite the improved bass, ambient noise is still clear thanks to the open-ear design. Many noise-cancelling headphones have a 'transparency' mode that uses a microphone to transmit external sound to your ear, but this doesn't give the same directional awareness you get from bone conduction headsets. The OpenRun has a magnetic charging cable, which is nice, but the OpenMove uses USB C so it does not have to have a special cable and can be charged with anything so I consider that a wash. With every new iteration, Shokz has successfully managed to shave a considerable amount of weight off the frame and the vital parts of its headphones, to make them lighter to wear and less noticeable when you’re on the move. Put the OpenRun up alongside the Trekz Air launched a few years earlier, and you can appreciate how much slimmer things have really gotten here.If you have a smaller head size you may have struggled to find running headphones with a secure fit or find comfortable headphones for your long runs – not anymore! Shokz has the solution with the OpenRun Mini, specifically designed to fit smaller heads better. Interestingly, there are ear plugs also included, which you can use to improve sound quality. It’s similar to what Shokz does with its swim-proof headphones, and it certainly has the desired effect of providing something more rewarding. You just have to be willing to plug your ears up, which does pretty much defeat the purpose of open ear headphones.
