About this deal

So basically, this is a story of an arranged marriage between a monster (they called it as Shades) and a monster hunter (well, rejected hunter) to fulfil a peace treaty. Except, she was into him and he didn't realize that. Except Ophelia always found the idea of monsters kind of intriguing . She even made the grave sin of committing some X-rated monster thoughts to paper—which in hindsight may not have been the best idea because her parents were mortified —but you live and learn. Well, everyone finds out your secret, you get banished from society, and then you learn. In hindsight, it makes sense that their monarchs were choosen by brute strength and not intelligence, cause that boy was stoopid. This was so good! In the beginning I was a little surprised because the set up is contemporary but the world that the heroine is taken to is more medieval, like I had expected. I felt like this story did an amazing job of setting up a situation where the two main characters didn’t understand each other but over time they started understanding each other more and you can see that it will develop further. They even make a mention that they need to communicate better which I appreciate. Seriously, I was one muttered complaint about how slow my human legs moved away from whispering, ‘sorry, Monster Daddy,’ and dropping to my knees to ask for forgiveness."he’s the king of the shades completely clueless his new wife is horny for him instead of being afraid No OW/OM Some OW is interested to marry H for power, not because she likes him. H isn't interested at all and is very overtly rejecting her

Their relationship was really intense right from the start, they had a nice chemistry and the tension was there. The miscommunication really bugged me the most, it's a trope that I always find annoying as hell. Their separation felt a bit forced and unnecessary, overly dramatic even. It was weird how things unfolded. I didn't like the antagonist(s)' motives, I thought they were lame and stupid villains, and the last five chapters is what considerably dropped the rating for me. Their reasoning didn't make any sense at all. The beginning of the story was fun and engaging, the middle was a bit slow paced and the ending was rushed and unsubstantial. Stepbrother Stories 2 - 21 Taboo Story Collection (Brother Sister Stepbrother Stepsister Taboo Pseudo Incest Family Virgin Creampie Pregnant Forced Pregnancy Breeding) by Roxi Harding(10340)The plot IS their relationship, with some focus on the politics and the conflict between Hunters and Shades. Bit of a slow burn for about half the book, but once they bang, they go bangbangbangbang. 👍

Luxuria: A Monster Romance is an MF standalone arranged marriage romance between a human and her not-quite-human husband suitable for readers 18+ Content warning on breeding kink and primal play (though it was really just light stuffs). Also there's knotting for you sexy beasts. Ophelia was born into a family of Hunters, tasked with protecting the humans from the creatures of the night who feast on their fear. Gone. She was actually gone. My heart was tearing into two inside my chest, ripping brutally in different directions. My breath sawed out of me, louder and raspier than normal. Maybe I was dying. Maybe Ophelia had condemned me to death when she walked out of my life. She’d been my sunshine, and she’d taken it with her.

Colette Rhodes is a paranormal romance author from New Zealand. She loves to write about love in all its forms, and adores imperfect heroes and heroines who find perfection in each other. You’ll often find her trying to justify her degree by including ancient history and mythological influences in her work. I gave her a disapproving look. “You moved here and married me without reading the document that is the basis for our whole union?” I mean...bitch left a whole realm, a throne, and her husband because he wasn't giving her enough attention😭. Which is wonderful, immature, queen behaviour.

Ophelia paused outside of her bedroom door, looking suddenly unsure as she glanced between Damen and I. I grunted, mostly in annoyance at him giving me relationship advice. I hadn’t been unduly cruel to Ophelia, just kept her at a distance until I understood what level of threat she presented. And she was happy enough now, I’d made sure of that this afternoon many times over.

Except Ophelia always found the idea of monsters kind of intriguing. She even made the grave sin of committing some X-rated monster thoughts to paper—which in hindsight may not have been the best idea because her parents were mortified—but you live and learn. Well, everyone finds out your secret, you get banished from society, and then you learn. Rhodes has created a perfect balance between writing characters you WANT to discover more about and grow to love, an expanding plot that is intriguing but not too complex or cumbersome so that it makes the book feel heavy and spice that is hot — but not OVERLY graphically filthy to deter from the steam itself.
