Description

Works for the Guild; Hates and fears the Fae; she, Larissa & Adam are close like family; Later revealed that she is the Goddess of Faery and Goddess of the land due to having a connection to Faery/the land. Was created to be Ryder's match/mate. Mother to triplets: Zander, Cade and Kahleena.

We meet Toby in the changing destiny and although we don't see much of him I knew I was going to like him!! Toby was very loveable throughout this story and he stole my heart instantly. I loved how he felt so strongly about Sara and didn't let anyone disrespect her! I’ve been in a book slump for years. I read this book in less than two days. The world Hutchins has created is amazing. I can’t wait until book two is released.

Did you know?

Toby is a member of the MC and is an MMA fighter. When they meet you can feel an instant connection. However, a relationship is the last thing that Sara is looking for. Arias is a very very strong heroine, at times she does annoy me a bit, but she is quite young for a Witch, she's 24 years old - and because she's very young, along with some of her sad life experiences by the hands of her own mother, she can be a little jaded, but it all builds on her character. She's fierce and loyal and she loves deeply. She also has no problems putting you to death should you break the law and so forth, hehe.

During Season 1, Fighting Lion was considered by the community to be the worst exotic weapon in the series due to its exotic perk having very limited use, until it's mechanics were revised in Season 2's DLC, Curse of Osiris. Ironically, years later, the weapon would instead be briefly seen as overpowered instead of underpowered during Season 14, albeit exclusively in the Crucible, leading to the weapon gaining its infamously slow reload speed in Season 15. Finally, let me share a verse that I recommend you put to memory and say to yourself every time you discern the Enemy has you in his sights.

I like this series, I do. The characters are entertaining but there’s something in the writing that stops me from giving this book top marks. I don’t mind the odd error (even if it is annoying) but having a character that isn’t easy to understand at times makes my head hurt. Pat had little peculiarities that singled him out as being Irish but not being Irish myself I sometimes wondered if the problem was Pat, the author or me. I really don’t like being confused when a little explanation might clear things up. I also don’t like information being repeated too often or unnecessarily. A little editing would definitely improve this book/series. So I was kind of on the fence about this book going into it, I was 100% sold on the MC aspect since there was very little to do with it in the first story. We see more from the MC side of things in this one which I'm glad of. Leader of the Easter Section of Washington State Guild that Syn works for. Synthia's adoptive uncle.

Specialises in healing and medicine. Often spends time researching medicine and ways to heal. In-charge of medical and healing in the Horde castle. Ryder's brother. A ghost child. Syn called him Billy because she did not know his name. Syn was able to communicate and he revealed his name is Quinn. Knox hates witches. It’s because of them that he witnessed his son go through 1000 deaths centuries ago which caused the eventual suicide of his wife. Witches are too sexual and only care about themselves, so he instantly hates Aria and her family, even though she wasn’t alive when all of this happened. Of course, this becomes a problem for Aria, who not only dislikes his stereotyping of all witches, especially since he’s lumping all of them together, but can’t stand that he has unfound hate for people he doesn’t even know. The biggest reason why he’s wrong is because… well, she’s a virgin. Aria is gone for three days and when she is presented to the King, she is able to use magic and kill the king and Amara. Knox and his men save her and take her away. Those are the flames of your chaos, Aria. You could set the entire world on fire if you chose to do so."It’s an amazing, fast paced story of Cynthia who thinks she is a witch finding herself along the way and doing so with a alpha Fae prince Ryder taking her along on an exciting trip of who done it situation and who is who thrilling book. I’m loving this BUT it ends here and they are many books in the series with only this first one on Audible😳. This is like hanging a carrot in front of a rabbit and then holding-it from the rabbit indefinitely. Aghast over that. Thankfully I was gifted this audiobook and will just need to put it away until there’s more audiobooks available. I was desperate and even looked into the books but they are expensive so I’m going to try waiting for the audiobooks. It is incredibly easy to think the world consists of what we see in our worlds every day, and completely miss the larger picture. There’s an invisible battle happening all around us: life and death are fiercely competing for our devotion. RECOGNIZING COMPETING AGENDAS First things first, I have never been in a situation like this where I wasn't sure if I liked either of the characters or not. When I say that these characters are flawed...oh I mean they are flawed. And when I say flawed, I don't mean the "oh they are so misunderstood, mysterious flawed" type . I've finished the damn book yet I am still unsure about these two. Yes. Both the hero and heroine.

Knox and Aria? Well let’s just say they are an inevitable force. They hate one another but want each other more than anything else, it's something they cannot explain and if you have read the future books then you know WHY but people can guess. Amelia pretty much makes it obvious to us here. BOOK FOUR—Seducing Destiny (2015): Less than six months ago my life was twisted and flipped on its side. Things have changed so much I barely recognize myself anymore. OW drama: Knox prior to ever being with Aria in any way, has two witches he has been sexual with and one he sleeps with right after meeting Aria for the first time. These two witches keep showing up and being bitches haha After that time he slept with the witch after meeting Aria, he is with nobody and doesn't even want anyone. He is only with Aria, even during the months they are not sexual. Sparks fly when the two enter a fiery battle of wills as Aria learns she is more than just a witch in the Hecate bloodline; she is much, much more. Faeries: (Half angels, half demons) unable to lie, hate sunlight, are vulnerable and can be killed buy iron;

Destiny 2: How to Get Fighting Lion

The males here, some of them, almost ALL of them, are toxic and they're all driven by one thing - lust. This was a 4 star read for most of the book but there were elements of it that I didn't sit well with me, hence 3 stars. Sara finally decides to leave her abusive relationship and moves forward. When she takes self defense classes she meets Toby. Toby meets Sara at a self defense class he was teaching. She drew his attention the very first time he saw her, she had a fear in her eyes that made him want to protect her from any further harm. The next time he sees her is when she's being manhandled at the strip club she bartends at. This makes his protective instinct rise up and he beats the guy, then takes Sara home with him to stay the night so she doesn't have to be alone. You threatening her family? You can start praying because she does not forget and forgive. She's smart, powerful, determined, and I personally love her.
