About this deal

First pitched in snow it worked perfectly, Woke up to torrential rain once that had turned the ground into a pool, the groundsheet stood up to the task and didn't let a drop of water through. Keep in mind, Eurohike doesn’t mention the exact specifications of the material. So it’s best not to subject it to rough conditions.

The thing is, this is one of the best-looking tents from the Eurohike stable. Combine that with a simple but stable structure and lots of interior space, and you have a real winner. Now, users liked the minimum slope in the roof of the Air 600. With the lowest height of 210 cm, it’s comfortable for campers above 6 feet. The good news is, there are dual bedrooms with a divider. That makes it a practical choice for a family of 4. There’s a separate living area that feels very airy. At 4.6 kgs, it’s not a heavy tent. Since it’s designed for casual camping trips and festivals, we feel that Eurohikes has hit the sweet spot with the space to weight ratio.

Most users found the pitching time anywhere between 15 to 20 minutes. That’s not the fastest in this category but the double action pump makes it easy. The tent comes with a capacity of 4 persons. With 3 people it’s good enough for glamping. Users loved the abundant headspace and the airy feel inside the tent. Tents can come in various shapes. These include the A-shaped, dome tents, tunnel tents, and pyramid tents. Each structure has its own pros and cons. While the traditional A-frames are simple and affordable, they aren’t the most spacious. On the other hand, dome and tunnel tents are more spacious and structurally stable. That said, we feel Eurohike could have added more features at this price point. However, chances are that you’ll find the tent with a heavily discounted price tag. Note, a few users mentioned some leakage during heavy rains. Frankly, this isn’t a tent that’s designed for harsh weather conditions. We wouldn’t use it beyond light rain showers. With just a single layer of fabric, we don’t expect much insulation either. The material the product is made from is often a sign of the quality for 1 – 2 Person Tents. Take a look at the product details over at Go Outdoors to get a feel for this. However, the groundsheet on the porch area isn’t fully sealed/sewn. So we wouldn’t recommend this tent in heavy rains. I never sleep with both inner doors closed, only the mesh, with both it can get humid inside especially overnight, leave the vents open on the outer and it will allow nice airflow through, but if you are out of the wind, not enough to provide air circulation for the inner tent. The other thing about Eurohike is the great value for money they offer. With the right stamp of quality, even the tents of the lowest price category can’t be marked as cheap. Low and angled down enough to take strong winds with ease, you loose out on headroom but its no problem getting changed inside.

Setting up the tepee tent is super simple. With some practice, you can manage it in 12 to 15 minutes. The tent forms a wedge with the foot end both narrower and lower. Point that bit into the wind. (yes I know, then the wind changes direction, but at least we tried eh?) I noticed a few small darker patches along the ridge the following morning. I shall probably apply some additional proofing to these areas as a precaution. That said, there was no evidence of water penetration and the overall construction is of a very acceptable standard.

Now, this is a rare 3-person tent from Eurohike where the sleeping area is spacious enough for 3 people. With 2 people, it will be very comfortable. Now, the front section comes with two doors and two windows. As a result, it feels airy. The inner room contains some vents. However, it may not be sufficient for hot and humid conditions. We feel that this model is best used in cooler climates. While inflatable tents don’t pop right off the bag like pop-up tents, they come without the complex arrangement of metal poles. All you need to do is pump up the air chambers and the tent is ready.

Shopping

For casual and fun camping sessions, nothing beats the old-school Tepee tent. It’s light, spacious, and has an airy feel that makes it perfect for summer camping trips. We will wholeheartedly recommend it for festivals and weekend camping with friends.
