As for the buds themselves, they fit perfectly for me. I had no issues or discomfort after long periods of use and that’s pleasant enough for me. It also doesn’t feel loose when wearing them, so if you face this issue, just swap out the eartips. Coming with Bluetooth 5.0 and support for the Qualcomm aptX codec, the Edifier really excels when it comes to signal stability and audio response. The audio delays are unnoticeable, and I’ve never heard my music jitter or stutter before.
One downside is that at lower volumes, the bass was not as present. However, as you increase the volume, you will be able to hear some bass creeping in – thankfully, the Edifier X3 gets plenty loud. The Edifier X3 TWS Earbuds are a great pair of no frills entry-level earbuds. But if there’s ever an X4 model coming, Edifier should include volume controls on the earbuds themselves. The sound quality is excellent. The X3 earbuds feature Bluetooth 5.0 and the Qualcomm aptX codec, delivering CD-quality sound with good bass and crystal clear audio, all without any stutter or delay. For me, wireless earbuds are a must. They enable cord free listening (and talking if connected to your phone) so there are none of the associated problems with wired earphones or headphones – no tangled wires or knots to undo, no wires to get caught in your clothing resulting in the earbud popping out of your ear (or worse, breaking a wire). If connected to your phone you can walk whilst you talk, making and receiving calls, again without the microphone getting caught up or muffled by clothing. Both the left and right bud are each equipped with a 60mAh battery. This gives you almost 5 hours of battery life if you listen as loud as they’ll go, which is of course not recommended due to long term ear damage!

The Edifier X3 earpieces feel sturdy as well. They are round on the inside, and while they're not necessarily bigger than more bean-shaped Haylou GT1 Plus and SoundPEATS TrueDot, they fill up your ears more. They feel larger, but not too large. The X3 has a comfortable, tight fit. One downside is their blue LED-lights also blink when you're playing music, which makes it annoying to use these in bed. The drivers emphasize low-end sounds, something we’re accustomed to seeing in standard consumer audio products. The amplification is just above the threshold of hearing: we typically don’t notice changes less than 3dB and notes from 20-200Hz are ~5dB louder than the lower end of midrange frequencies. If you’re not one for numbers: just know that some vocal and instrumental detail may be lost to the amplified bass notes. That said, the Edifier TWS1 earphones perform exceptionally well for the price and make just about anything sound good.
Overall, I really like the design & styling. They are understated and will suit everyone regardless of your overall fashion style. I quite like the fact that some people would call them ‘boring’. It’s a plus, in my opinion. I don’t want everyone to notice I’m wearing a pair of decent headphones especially if I’m ever travelling through no so desirable areas. IP55 Waterproof RatingOverall, the charging case is okay, and I like how compact the design and form-factor of it is and it, like the earbuds, is also lightweight. Sound Quality I’ve worn TWS earbuds that made me feel like I wasn’t wearing them at all. But the Edifier X3’s edges are more prononuced than other curved edge earbuds. Because of that, the edges would rest on my ears and after a while, it does get a little uncomfortable.
