But almost more importantly than the quality of the optics, is the quality of the read out display. Yes there is which will indicate when battery is running low and we would recommend carrying a spare in your bag just in case. The V5 shift model is identical other than one added feature which is the SLOPE function. This gives you an extra yardage in the display which takes into account the slope, ie if the shot is downhill it will show an actual yardage and a reduced yardage that takes into account the gradient - a 'plays like' distance. Worth noting that this feature has to be turned off for any competitive golf as it is against the rules.
