Description

SSR-1000TR has a 135mm FDB fan with a premium hybrid fan control. It runs in a fanless mode for loads up to 40% and is virtually silent for loads up to 50%! The fan has an industry-leading life expectancy of up to 50,000 hours at 40°C. Pros: Minor update November 18th: GamersNexus has put out another video (and probably their last on the issue barring any major updates). tl;dw: Long story short: PLUG YOUR CABLE IN ALL THE WAY and you shouldn't have any issues, barring incredibly rare manufacturing defects that would be just as likely on any other device. MSRP: GOLD EFFICIENCY (noteworthy, per Cybenetics testing the 750/850/1000W models all tested Platinum efficiency) The unit features a 135mm MagLev fan with custom rotors for superior cooling at low noise levels. It has zero revolutions per minute mode for loads up to 40%. Pros:

Its unique features include ROG heatsinks, a 120mm ARGB-illuminated fan with an axial-tech design, and dual ball bearings. They provide 0dB cooling for loads up to 40% and a longer lifespan for reliability. Pros: e23: March 12th, Thermaltake has launched their SFX form factor PSUs (conveniently named the SFX ### series). Keep in mind that the 1000W version is SFX-L. Thanks u/natdisaster for the heads up. Cybernetics Certification 115V: Eff:Platinum Noise:Standard Cybernetics Certification 230V: Eff:Platinum Noise:Standard Any adapter or native cable can fail, but these failures are overwhelmingly uncommon and many are avoidable. In fact, it's going to be quite the job to stuff anything close to 1300W inside a Mini-ITX case. There's only one PCIe port on a Mini-ITX motherboard, and it's not like there's many headers for much else. That said, I'm sure someone will manage it: a truly overpowered PC, not much bigger than a loaf of bread. The Corsair RM1000x belongs to the same family as the RM1000x Shift. It’s also incredibly well-built, with an 80+ Gold certification and over 90% peak efficiency. e3: Added Lian Li's SFX PSU. As noted above, this is not compatible with 40-series GPUs. Added rumor / leak about Corsair possibly releasing an SFX-L series. The use of a cutting-edge PFC circuit in combination with a fully digital platform seems to be the key for record-setting performance. Besides its super efficiency, the AX1600i also offers great load regulation, amazing transient response, a long hold-up time, and unparalleled ripple suppression. Moreover, the great benchmark results are accompanied by quiet operation, enabled by a relaxed fan profile and a high-quality FDB fan. Using the Corsair Link software, you're able to choose between three fan modes: performance, balanced, and quiet.

The SST-SX1000-LPT SFX is an 80 PLUS Platinum certified 1000W fully modular PSU with an SFX-L form factor, the unit comes with all the necessary cables you'll need for a high-end machine, including one 24 pin, one 4+4 pin CPU connector, dual 6+2 PCI-E connectors, four SATA connectors, three molex, and one 4p floppy connector.

The SilverStone SX1000 is the strongest small form factor PSU money can get you today.

A buddy wants to upgrade his PSU from an SF750 to a 1000w SFX/ SFX-L. The reason is he upgraded from a 3070 Ti to a 3090 Ti and wants peace of mind. I got some good advice in another post on whether he even needed to upgrade the PSU and ultimately my friend decided he wanted to upgrade it. e9: FSP group PSUs available as of late November 3rd US PST. Looks like PTM Pro are still up for sale as of the time of this writing. Make sure you are purchasing one that is clearly labeled ATX 3.0 / PCIE Gen5, ( such as this), as they are using the same model name as the non-ATX 3.0 version otherwise.

The Seasonic SSR-1000TR is their best offering in the 1000W power range! It’s fully modular and 80+ Titanium-certified. It has a peak efficiency of 94% at 50% system load capacity, making it ultra-powerful for high-performance PC builds. Note: This power supply is the Chinese model, each will come with a U.S. standard power adapter cable The Corsair RMx Shift Series PSUs are exceptionally built for a highly reliable power supply to extreme PC builds. They feature innovative side-mounted connectors for an easy DIY building experience! Its lesser wattage counterpart, the LOKI-850P-SFX-L, got Eff:Platinum Noise:A, so I'm optimistic this one is nearly as good. It features a top-end, enthusiast-grade build quality with an 80+ Platinum rating and up to 92% efficiency. It’s ATX 3.0 compatible to deliver up to 600W power to next-gen PCIe 5.0 GPUs.Third party cables DO NOT VOID YOUR WARRANTY if you are choosing to use e.g. CableMod cables or adapters. There was some confusion about this from an article on TomsHardware. CableMod has been working directly with Nvidia on developing their solution(s). The RM1000x doesn’t offer ATX 3.0 compatibility and the side-mounted cable interface. But it is slightly affordable, which makes it an excellent value for money! e24: September 15th. When I made this thread, there were few true ATX 3.0 PSUs, and little information regarding upcoming ones. Because that is no longer the case, with significant improvements in availability / options, this thread is no longer being maintained / updated. My best advice if you're unsure on what to get is: To be on the safer side, you should get the Super Flower Leadex V Gold PRO 1000W White PSU. It’s a fully modular unit with excellent build quality. It has an 80+ Gold certification with up to 90% efficiency. Pros:

NZXT is famous for its premium-built cases and gaming PC components. The NZXT C1000 Gold is one of their few power supplies. It has a robust build quality for steady and reliable power flow to your high-end components! Update November 17th: GamersNexus has put out a very thorough video on the connector melting issue here, including actual reproduction of melting. It's incredibly informative and I highly recommend watching both it and their initial series of tests from October 30th if you have any concerns whatsoever about the reported issues with 12VHPWR cables / adapters. For the tl;dr summary, courtesy of u/Nestledrink over at the Nvidia subreddit: e19: January 15th. Updating Corsair with their rumored Shift line (thanks u/RacingJayson), and looks like the SFX-L PSU has popped up on Cybenetics (thanks u/mehrdad96). Also updated Dark Power 13 with wattages, MSRP, and a release date (thanks u/Terra711). u/techfiend5 also informed us of an update from Cybenetics / SilverStone that the Hela 1200R has now met ATX 3.0 standards when re-tested, so I've removed the disclaimer from their section of the post. Cleaning up some of the strikethroughs / outdated info as well. For more on this subject, see our A Basic Guide To Motherboard, Case, and Power Supply Form Factors feature. Causes include: foreign object debris (manufacturing defect or from repeated mating cycles), extremely improper insertion by the user, or improper insertion with a taut wire on one or more pins.I am in the US so will be going off of that for general availability, all prices listed in USD. Will list regional differences as needed. That being said, here’s where we are (G = Gold, P = Platinum, T = Titanium): e16: December 16th, the Vertex press release now lists availability as January 2023 for NA / EU / Asian markets. User u/Blakman777 has added that a rep has said Platinum efficiency models are currently planned for Q2 2023. Updated CableMod adapter section with the latest update from them. V1 of the adapter had an issue and had to be retooled, currently expecting V2 to ship at the end of February Corsair HX1000 is yet another 80+ Platinum-certified power supply with robust build quality. It’s one of the best 1000W PSUs with a rail switch for choosing between 12V single-rail and 12V multi-rails.
