Description

Boy, is preying on depressed teenagers and brainwashing them into horrific acts of self-harm and suicide. For people of a certain age – those who grew up in the real world – the world is fast becoming a place we can’t possibly understand. And has Derek become more fixated with crafting the perfect conclusion for his masterpiece than getting justice for his family?

Giving any more away would be a huge disservice to the many twists and turns throughout this thrilling and depraved story. I am not going to rehash the story here – lots of brutal shit goes down – but I want to point out how the question is raised in this one of accountability. This is about a relative of one of the victims taking matters into his own hands and discovering who's really behind the challenge. And in this one he addresses one of the modern problems to have reared its ugly head with technology – the internet and the anonymity it promises. No rules against self-promotion, so all authors, publishers and content creators are welcome to share their work here. It also offers a truly terrifying insight into the predators that lurk virtually who readily capitalise on the vulnerable for their own deviant ends! Incredibly thoughtful, important but simultaneously wonderfully trashy and entertaining story about the influence that the internet has on humanity.

In the era of viral social media challenges, some funny and some downright deadly Aron took that and elevated it.

As someone who grew up in the age of Internet challenges, this hit close to home and it’s horror comes from how possible it easily can be. There are not enough words to describe how much I loved this one and how much I hated that it had to end. But little does he know, Derek is willing to go to even greater lengths to get the exposure and revenge he seeks! There are never truly happy endings with tales like these but somehow I felt peace and closure with the final chapter.

The things our children are viewing on the internet is always a cause for concern, especially some of these new challenges that seemingly sweep across this generation of kids, on a regular basis. Definitely one of my favourites by Aaron, it was I'd say a bit more serious than his other books and I loved that! An avid supporter of horror art and illustration, Aron has made it his standard to hire illustrators for every book that he puts out under his brand AB Horror.Modern Hysteria - Aron BeauregardDerek has had his family ripped from him by an internet suicide challenge, run by the enigmatic Mr. Change country: -Select- Albania Algeria American Samoa Andorra Angola Anguilla Antigua and Barbuda Argentina Armenia Aruba Azerbaijan Republic Bahamas Bahrain Bangladesh Barbados Belgium Belize Benin Bermuda Bhutan Bolivia Bosnia and Herzegovina Botswana Brazil British Virgin Islands Brunei Darussalam Bulgaria Burkina Faso Burundi Cambodia Cameroon Cape Verde Islands Cayman Islands Central African Republic Chad Chile China Colombia Comoros Cook Islands Costa Rica Cyprus Czech Republic Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) Democratic Republic of the Congo Denmark Djibouti Dominica Dominican Republic Ecuador Egypt El Salvador Equatorial Guinea Eritrea Estonia Ethiopia Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas) Fiji Finland French Guiana French Polynesia Gabon Republic Gambia Georgia Ghana Gibraltar Greece Greenland Grenada Guadeloupe Guam Guatemala Guernsey Guinea Guinea-Bissau Guyana Haiti Honduras Hong Kong Hungary Iceland India Indonesia Iraq Israel Jamaica Japan Jersey Jordan Kazakhstan Kenya Kiribati Kuwait Kyrgyzstan Laos Latvia Lebanon Lesotho Liberia Liechtenstein Lithuania Luxembourg Macau Macedonia Madagascar Malawi Malaysia Maldives Mali Malta Marshall Islands Martinique Mauritania Mauritius Mayotte Mexico Micronesia Moldova Monaco Mongolia Montenegro Montserrat Morocco Mozambique Namibia Nepal Netherlands Netherlands Antilles New Caledonia New Zealand Nicaragua Niger Nigeria Niue Norway Oman Pakistan Palau Panama Papua New Guinea Paraguay Peru Philippines Poland Portugal Puerto Rico Qatar Republic of Croatia Republic of the Congo Reunion Romania Rwanda Saint Helena Saint Kitts-Nevis Saint Lucia Saint Pierre and Miquelon Saint Vincent and the Grenadines San Marino Saudi Arabia Senegal Serbia Seychelles Sierra Leone Singapore Slovakia Slovenia Solomon Islands South Africa South Korea Sri Lanka Suriname Svalbard and Jan Mayen Swaziland Sweden Taiwan Tajikistan Tanzania Thailand Togo Tonga Trinidad and Tobago Tunisia Turkey Turkmenistan Turks and Caicos Islands Tuvalu Uganda United Arab Emirates United Kingdom Uruguay Uzbekistan Vanuatu Vatican City State Venezuela Vietnam Virgin Islands (U.

I don’t have kids but I’m even more scared and sad for every kid that uses the internet than I was before reading this. This, in turn, produces some horrible events, that then trigger even more horrible events, each in turn, more wretched and sadistic! Derek Pearson is a struggling graphic novelist whose younger brother took his own life after becoming ensnared in "The Dropout Challenge". Always fun writing - and terrifying to think of how challenges like these are still so prevalent and continue to be a parent’s worst nightmare. Of course, there is also plenty of that Beauregard brutality we all know and love, and some awesome, eye opening illustrations! Boy is particular fond in finding vulnerable teenagers and makes them participate in "The Dropout Challenge" which ends with the suicide of the teenager.
