About this deal

With a little thought you could have substituted Alastair Maclean, a great unintentional cliché-mongerer who, I discreetly dropped some time ago.

The summit can be identified by: grass mound Additional Notes: All the walks up Barnacre Moor on Mud and Routes can be seen above.

Once back on the paved path I headed north towards Black Moss Reservoir and towards Marsden, joining up with the Pennine Way path again just after the reservoir. Sunset tripper wrote:There are two in the quarrel woods in Elgin that I came across mostly by accident. Rob, of Peterborough, completed a list of 6,190 trigs and celebrated his achievement with 29 friends and fellow trig baggers in 2021. A stile from the road onto a public footpath and half a field of gloopy cow trodden mud and another stile and I was getting the best view ever of Blackburn Rovers stadium - perhaps it is named after a sponsor, I don't know? The determination and energy required at the start driven by the excitement to start a walk, then the sense of achievement of reaching the top.

The Black Rock Mill complex, a site owned by Whitecroft Limited (previously the Bleachers’ Association Limited), was last operated in the 1950s as a bleach and print works. Shown on the old maps as Heapey Cottage as late as 1929, the building is known to most locals as Waterman’s Cottage.I have visited some very remote places in Britain but also reached trigs that are located in very easy places to walk to.
