About this deal
It'll tell us "these events happen in between issues 2 and 3 of The Infinity Gauntlet" or "This issue takes place during issue 4 of The Infinity Gauntlet". We see lots of The Silver Surfer, Doctor Strange, The Hulk from Peter David which i never read before but does look good, Drax The Destroyer, Galactus, Doctor Doom, Adam Warlock and every mayor player in the Marvel Universe.
These two special events do a great job of highlighting the Elders (and the In-Betweener) and introducing the Infinity Gems and the art on them is exquisite. Though, I have to say, there is definitely a certain amount of pride that comes from reading an over-1,200-page book. The reset button at the end is the main problem with the series, but pretty expected given what occurs. The main plot for the Infinity Gauntlet event is pretty bad ass, although it does lean on the side of being too much. The art is great in everything but Thanos Quest, where it gets too loud and trippy and the extras are neat. The last two are another big let down as the ending is wholly underwhelming and just the shittiest was they could have gone about it.
The mystical nature of the character meshed nicely with the space faring cosmic characters (something I did not actually expect. I finally got a copy of the infinity Gauntlet omnibus and was wondering of its worth investing in the trilogy (Infinity War/Crusade).I did really like most of the supplemental issues, even those that aren't necessary, but I should have to go back and establish the time-frame for each issue. It seems like a minor thing, but it's frustrating to have to go back and see how much the characters know and what events have and have not happened for each issue. But even as the Mad Titan gathers the six Infinity Gems from across the galaxy, assembling them into the Infinity Gauntlet and gaining truly godlike powers, a host of heroes gather to oppose him - including the Silver Surfer, Adam Warlock, Gamora, Drax the Destroyer, Doctor Strange and the Hulk!
