The one that slung my knees up to my temples like I was some sort of human sleeping bag he was trying to roll up— insert enthusiastic charades display of this act—and, after approximately sixty seconds of uninspired thrusting, yell-whispered in my ear, “I WANT YOU TO ORGASM,” to which I responded, terrified, “OKAY? I spin a tale about some delightfully aloof (nonexistent) men I’ve dated and the ill-begotten adventures of my sex life before my yarn gives way to an impression that has me lemur-walking to the other side of the stage, coaxing the room into a legato of laughter. I want to know where she ends up and what she does with her light because it’s so bright and beautiful throughout.

I'm hoping to post more frequently about what I'm reading, what I'm excited to read and books I've enjoyed!I loved how vivacious and kind and gregarious Farley is, the foil to Meyer’s self-imposed reservedness. My manager, who, incidentally, has also become my closest friend since he came into my life three years ago. Every scene with Meyer’s daughter was adorable and her relationships with both her father and Farley were touching. This was a story I had initially saved for a rainy day—a story I waited on, and then when I dove in—I had no words.

He also has a sweet pre-teen daughter, Charlie, who is incredibly mature for her age, deaf, loves to dance, and enjoys attending Farley's comedy shows. They offer to have her open their show, and in an effort to gain publicity and boost Farley’s popularity, they want her and Meyer to fake date. She keeps her feelings hidden because Meyer is her closest friend and his daughter, Hazel has become so important to her too that she doesn't want to mess anything up between them. This openness is helped with the positivity around the benefits of therapy, in which both leads partake. My favorite comedienne, one of the most famous in the country—who has written for wildly successful shows and has hosted Saturday Night Live—is here and she is smiling in my direction.

His daughter Hazel is Deaf, and three years ago Farley met them both when she accidentally crashed Hazel’s flop of a birthday party and then saved the day.
