If you’re a fan of the film, it’s the best way to experience Dune at home – and if you haven’t seen it yet, it’s well worth a purchase just for the movie alone.

Framing, editing, composition, then add on a haunting and brilliant soundtrack, and then, add on a compelling story of revenge, betrayal, destiny, and love. While an improved experience, that Atmos mix is such a beast you just can’t compare the experiences. The action doesn't leave much room for characters to develop but there's still detailed examination of the main ones in their struggles to dominate and survive. The 2D Blu-ray disc (identical to the one available separately) includes over an hour of supplemental features. But they simply don't make many - if any - films like Dune anymore, a more assured and impressive offering than Nolan's Tenet, and a veritable Infinity War to Part 2's potential Endgame, when we eventually get to the end of this road. has provided us with an official domestic trailer for Denis Villeneuve's Dune: Part Two (2023), starring Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Stellan Skarsgård, and Dave Bautista. The voice over narration that must have must have been added to try and make things easier for the audience just makes it seem stranger. Dave Bautista doesn't get much chance to be a little less obviously Drax, but Stellan Skarsgård ( Avengers: Age of Ultron) is on full Marlon Brando's Kurtz from Apocalpyse Now form as the imposing Baron.

Another is any of the close tight battles where shields “blip” and “flicker” around the person is another great use of 3-D. even operatic, in its ambitions that the pure fun of entering an alternate universe all but disappears in a cloud of dust and sand. Right off the bat, the explosions in the opening sequence where the Fremen fire on Harkonnen spice harvesters look amazing and stand out as intended by the filmmakers.

As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet's exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence - a commodity capable of unlocking humanity's greatest potential-only those who can conquer their fear will survive.

The sets, the costumes, the ships…everything is so beautifully and intricately designed – this isn’t a clean glossy future, but one almost medieval in aesthetic. Denis Villeneuve proved himself a visionary with the neon-colored Blade Runner 2049 (one of the best sequels in cinema history). Yes the plot goes all over the place but in terms of being a space opera, it’s got more interesting visuals and performances then ‘Jupiter Ascending’ and ‘Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. I get that- but a little touch of dry humour- just here and there- can only add to even the most serious of films.
