About this deal

Blood On The Tracks" from 1974 is a work that should not be missing in any record collection - the fans consider it one of Dylan's most irresistible albums with song pearls like "If You See Her, Say Hello", "Tangled Up In Blue" and "Shelter From The Storm". Since its initial reception, Blood on the Tracks has been viewed by critics as one of Dylan's best albums. On a final note, anyone who enjoyed the film 'Molly's Game' may remember Molly's difficulty in getting together a playlist that would appeal to gamblers. Instead, Dylan has legitimized his claim to a creative prowess as vital now as then—a power not bounded by the one decade he so affected. This was seen by some of his fans as a betrayal of this folk roots, with some saying that it obscured his meaningful and poetic lyrics.

Condition - This item is in Excellent condition or better (unless it says otherwise in the above description). For me this is the weakest track on the the album because it doesn't really fit in, but would have sounded goos on Desire, which was more bluesy. But only Dylan could still pour out the affections from his heart in the next song or even the next line. It remains one of Dylan's best-selling studio releases, with a double-platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for at least two million copies sold in the United States.

It is so personal, and even Bob's voice sounds like he means this one more than the others - this song almost hurts to listen to, but it is so utterly beautiful. And in a 1978 interview, he responded to an observation that the album was confessional and that "Tangled Up in Blue" drew on his relationship with Sara by saying, "There might be some little part of me which is confessing something which I've experienced and I know, but is not definitely the total me confessing anything. There is enough class on this album to make a handful of classic albums had he wanted to carry on in this extremely rich muse he was in.

To hear it is to experience the agony, frustration, trauma, highs, lows, confusion, sadness, and, ultimately, requisite redemption associated with intimate relationships gone astray. In December, shortly before Columbia was due to release the album, Dylan abruptly re-recorded much of the material in Sound 80 studio in Minneapolis. Creatively, he appeared at a stalemate, his previous decade's unprecedented run of transformational brilliance finished. Shortly after starting to play he changed his stage name to Bob Dylan, after being influenced by the poetry of Dylan Thomas before legally changing his name in 1962.

Presence, immediacy, naturalness: Mobile Fidelity reissue makes Blood on the Tracks among most lifelike-sounding albums you'll ever hear! It starts off going straight into the personal, emotional sound giving us a taste of his mood, without opening up his heart too much, yet, but Tangled Up In Blue is a belter of an opening track and tells us of the quality we've to expect in the rest of it. A movie about Baby Boomers in the late 70s and early 80s transitioning into their 30s, with some holding onto their ideals and others leaving them behind. If you’d like to file an allegation of infringement, you’ll need to follow the process described in our Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy. The album’s songs have been linked to tensions in Dylan's personal life, including his estrangement from his then-wife Sara.
