About this deal

I loved Libby and Brogan from the first moment I met each of them, but them together couldn’t have been more perfect. She wrote her first contemporary romance novel in college but really found her stride in romantic suspense and loves dark heroes who operate by their own code. This is only the second book I’ve ever DNF’d it’s not something I make a habit of as I like to persevere where I can and give stories the benefit of the doubt. Brogan and Libby's relationship is so great, I love watching them come together and learn to trust each other throughout the book. When Libby discovers her sister has been swept up in her father's sex trafficking ring, she'll do everything in her power to set her sister free.

Realize that a lot of the stuff that you know about your body is either not true or is so deeply ingrained that it has taken a lifetime for you to learn those things. Our first meeting was at a nightclub, and it was something straight out of my most romantic fantasies. The ending was disappointing to me, I read it and I kept scrolling because I couldn’t believe that was it.They accused the organization of meddling in their respective countries on behalf of western powers. So we’re interviewing five random couples about their meet-cutes and relationships and spending all this time together. Luciana is terrified of essentially being sold off to a mafia boss, especially one as cruel as Romero, but there’s no saying no in her world. As an outcast from her family which just happens to be a rival family to Brogan’s, the book captures their stories falling in love and trying to protect those they care for.

However, Meaghan Pierce did another fabulous job handling serious issues with care and creating three-dimensional characters. As their plans progress, their attraction grows and they find out things about themselves, each other, and their families that draw them together. Jake Van der Berg, her father’s stepbrother and her only living relative, assumes guardianship of Tiernan who is still two months shy of 18.By the time an agathos woman reaches twenty-five, she's supposed to be one thing, and one thing only: Bonded.

Rumors say there’s a group of Awakened living under New York, and they’re responsible for the disappearances.

I wish the final sequence played out a little longer and more detailed, again I feel like it wrapped up kinda quickly. But when she learns of her father's plans to traffic women through Philadelphia, she can't keep quiet.

Ever since I kissed him and…well, did decidedly ungood-girl things to him in the front seat of his car. I enjoyed the other characters as well that seem to appear in the first novel, so I may go back and read the first one and will probably read the third book coming out in August 2022. The parts that really soured it for me in terms of rating were Finn’s death and the major gloss over the ending. When I took over my late father's biker bar, I also took over the payments he was making to Savva, the leader of a powerful mafia family operating on the edge of Las Vegas. I don't know why I decided to read this one, I think I liked the way Brogan was portrayed in the first book. But when he warned me about the mute boy who also lurked in those woods, the one the priest had declared to be the spawn of Satan himself, I refused to listen. He’s determined to bring her back into the world she left behind where money is king, reputation is everything, and people will kill to keep their secrets. It's a rule he's never wanted to break-until Delaney walks into his pub and accepts his impulsive job offer. As a lowly cousin and the only female offspring in the Torrio mafia family, Luciana is just the bargaining chip her uncle needs to make an alliance with the Bilotti family.
