That is the sign of a good book; a good book invokes an emotional response and leaves you feeling dazed. As a huge bookworm, and also a huge Disney fan I hope to collect ALL of the Disney books from the Villans’ Series, the Kingdom Keepers, and the Disney Twisted Tales (which this book is a part of. The King and Queen: The Beast's parents, who saw magic and unnatural people as a threat to their domain.The closest thing we go to an "I love you" was a soppy, out of character line: "You may be a beast, but you are my Prince. I think if it had been another tale I might not have appreciated this repetition quite so much, but as both Disney adaptations of this story are so beloved to me I really liked hearing the tale again, here. Stunned and confused by the revelation, Belle and the Beast must work together to unravel years of mystery. Yet again this twisted tale is 30% "we're just going to quote the movie lol" and then it goes into the twist, which felt minor this time? Now I'm 32 and a librarian--I have to think that Belle's early influence on my life as a reader is partially the reason I chose this vocation.

As Old As Time personally I feel that it was executed better in the regards of breaking up the monotony unlike A Whole New World did. As Old as Time is the third book in the hit YA line that reimagines classic Disney stories in surprising new ways.

I was less than impressed with Braswell’s A Whole New World and was content on just forgoing her obvious pandering to Disney synergy series when I saw As Old as Time‘s premises and then I was like. We get into a bit of the les charmantes that want to leave the kingdom and go somewhere safer and others who just want to be "normal. I highly recommend this book for anyone who still finds the magic in reading, who chooses to see beyond outward appearances, and who seeks adventure in the great wide somewhere. I absolutely detested Belle in this book, and as someone who loved Belle in the Disney film, this made my disappointment so much greater. Although it is a lot darker than the original Disney film, As Old As Time answers a lot of questions I had about the story in new and unexpected ways.
