Peter Sam told them about the television as well. And they were pleased and excited too, all except Sir Handel. " I don't hold with it!" he grumbled. " Vulgar, I call it. Fancy traipsing about making an exhibition of yourselves. I won't do it, I tell you! Telly something indeed. Just let the Thin Controller come here, I'll tell him something!" Skarloey said nothing, he just winked at Peter Sam. But next day, when the Thin Controller did come to explain about the television, Sir Handel kept strangely quiet. " Now", said the Thin Controller at last. " I want every engine to take part". " I..I..I don't feel well", quavered Sir Handel. " You poor engine", said the Thin Controller gravely. " You can stay in the shed". Sir Handel smiled broadly. " And your driver and firemen can take you to pieces. That would make a very interesting picture. Just what we need!" Sir Handel's feelings were beyond words. The human figures were originally marketed as HO scale but have been relabelled large scale since the introduction of said range due to being too large. Oliver, Rosie, Ryan, Paxton and Daisy are the only HO locomotives to be based purely on their CGI renders. All other models, including those with CGI faces, borrow elements from the model series builds. S.C. Ruffey's HO model's frames are grey instead of rusty orange. This was corrected on his large scale, and N scale models.

Currently, Thomas, James, Diesel, and Rosie are the only HO scale engines with more than one variant.Which of the three ideas would you prefer? Or, is there an additional idea that you would like to see? Skarloey | Rheneas | Sir Handel | Peter Sam | Duncan | Duke | Bertram | Mighty Mac | Freddie | Luke | Little Giant

Never the less Peter Sam is a perfect recreation of his CGI rendering from the TV series and just like the others that have come before him his model is bristling with details.

Bachmann Trains (USA)

Edit: Oh, and the pistons are accurate to Edward Thomas, rather than the CGI render, which is a nice detail.

Series 12 - Mountain Marvel ( cameo), Henry Gets it Wrong ( mentioned), The Party Surprise ( cameo) and The Man in the Hills The Skarloey Railway's no:- 4 engine is the latest addition to Bachmann Trains' ever popular Thomas and Friends narrow gauge range and in this review we shall be taking a closer look at him. With Sir Handel, just a word of thought that he would suffer the same fate as Edward and Henry. However Edward and Henry have at least had their moments to shine in the CGI era. Sir Handel though has no character in CGI. You could replace him with "Inga from Norway" I could still see Duncan following up after Peter Sam. It won't be a surprise if Bachmann would consider prioritizing Luke or Victor over Sir Handel In my personal opinion, Peter Sam is definitely the next character I would like to see in narrow gauge. Quite honestly I feel he should have been announced this year, but when looking at things from Bachmann's standpoint, it's understandable. I think Chaz made some very good points in his post, but I also have a few things I'd like to add as well.Cromar White– a leading UK supplier to the enthusiast and model engineer clubs. Talyllyn Railway Drawings from Other Sources I think that reusing the Ice Cream Wagon tooling is another idea with a good chance. After all, it is the only tooling in the HO range that was only used once so far (with the exception of specific characters such as Toad and Henrietta). As for the paint scheme, I would like to see it in a brown color scheme that is similar to the Sodor Salt Wagon. Lastly, for the face, many fans have suggested the angry expression that is shown above, and I completely agree with that suggestion. Here is also a head-on shot of it: The roofs are attached and have plastic frames and rectangles attached underneath them to resemble windows, unlike the large scale models that have unattached roofs. Emily's coaches and the Christmas coaches have similar features. Now, as for those questions, I would certainly get a model of him, however, I personally will only start modeling Narrow Gauge Thomas engines once I have the space for it, so for the time being, I wouldn't be able to, but I definitely would buy a model in future. In the Railway Series, along with his ERTL and 1997-2005 Wooden Railway toys, Sir Handel is depicted with Sir Haydn's original cab design, which meant his cab was only open on his right side until Great Little Engines and his coal bunkers were not visible until New Little Engine. In the latter book, while his coal bunkers became visible, he retained the old cab design. In the television series, he is depicted with Sir Haydn's post-1968 and current, cab design.
