These black and white thoughts, these bats and doves, freeze-framed in flight, swoop into the album and out of your hi-fis. As with The Dreaming remaster (the only other I've bought so far) she seems to have avoided the usual remaster path of turning all the sliders up to the max and got Guthrie and Plante to smooth off the rough edges.

Beginning production after her 1979 tour, Never for Ever was Bush's second foray into production (her first was for the On Stage EP the previous year), aided by the engineer of Lionheart (1978), Jon Kelly. Never for Ever, however, diverges considerably in stylistic diversity, ranging from the direct and energetic ‘Violin’ to the nostalgic waltz of the chart-topping single ‘Army Dreamers’. Acts like Kate Bush enrich this medium with vibrant colours, intriguing graphics, evocative imagery, and even thought-provoking text – it can hold the power to convey messages and themes that sometimes elude the music itself.

Of the concept, Bush said that it reflects the title, depicting good and bad things that emerge from one's self. She was very old (being born in Victorian Times) and knew little of Pop Music, but she was startlingly aware of a 'Ms.

Though at the time she was younger than 21, Bush confidently became the careful, experimental studio-only artist she remained for the remainder of her career. overall Never For Ever is one of the mst epic albums Kate has done and one of my top 25 favorites, a must for everyone. Violin-continuing with mature sound and with the sythesiser effect on her vocals to create more edge with this song, this shows kate with more of a rocker's edge than any other song she has done. Breathing- haunting yet again and extremely unique, unusual that it portrays Kate as a fetus aware of the struggles in the outside world, it chills you as it refreshes with the rhythm and pacing' out in out in out in out 'and the fantastic messages and sense of unease executed through the best production a song could ever have, a favourite song of mine in general and possibly Kate's most powerful song to date.

Beyond the front cover illustration, the back continues its thematic thread, featuring Kate Bush in flight alongside ominous black vampire bats. Never For Ever" is another Kate Bush masterpiece that, in hindsight, bridges "Lionheart" and her next album "The Dreaming", containing elements from both. However; the other Single featured on this Album: 'Army Dreamers' I was not so keen on, but I would say on the original vinyl LP that Side Two is probably the stronger one of the two. Two years after her first two releases, Kate Bush took her career into her own hands and produced Never For Ever.
