I have that exact same soup maker and absolutely love using it especially now that the weathers gone a bit colder. Down side, the parcel was dropped over the gate and box was a little damaged but machine appears to be working fine so far. We may request additional information or photographs and arrange either an inspection and repair, a collection and replacement of the part/item in question or a refund depending on the situation.

The Cuisinart has more features, including the saute and simmer options, which are all controlled via the control panel on the front of the maker. There’s a blend function for if the soup isn’t smooth enough for you, and the last one is the juicer function, which I have to admit, I haven’t used with this soup maker yet. If you choose the ‘chunky’ option and then decide you want it a little smoother, you can ‘blend’ it at the end of the 28-minute program.

You must keep the lid on for this function to work (unlike with the 501014, where the lid must stay off).
