About this deal

Produced by the Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull, Ledaig is a brand of Island single malt whisky. Matured in carefully selected casks, Ledaig captures the essence of Mull, offering a sensory journey through rugged landscapes and the untamed spirit of the sea.

The peat turns more smokey on the palate, as if bonfire embers are fighting sea spray that’s dampening the fire out. I’m a big fan of sample sharing with other whisky folk, to try drams and whiskies I’ve either missed out on or wouldn’t have the chance to try at all.Often, I find myself staring at my whisky bottles without a notion of what kind of flavour mood I’m after. Distilled using the same pot stills as the classic unpeated Tobermory expression, just with peated barley instead, the whisky boasts plumes of rich, earthy, almost medicinal smoke, with underlying fresh fruit and crushed spice notes. Our boxes are made of 100% recyclable cardboard and our protective honeycomb paper wrap keeps your package safe and significantly reduces our need for plastic. Prior to Burn Stewart’s involvement, the distillery had gone through periods of producing both peated and unpeated whiskies.

Inspired by the wild purple heather clad mountains on the Isle of Mull, this award-winning Hebridean gin has been distilled with heather, rowan berry and rosehip to create a sweet, herbaceous and gently spicy gin.

This unpeated 10-Year-Old Distillery Exclusive has been finished for four years in first fill port casks, creating a sweet and fruity Tobermory dram. Bursting with bright citrus and fresh fruit flavours, balanced beautifully with the rich, sweet and spicy notes from the Oloroso sherry casks. It name comes from the original name for the area, Ledaig (Led-chig), from the Gaelic, meaning ‘safe haven’.

This whisky is bold, rich, and oily with richly sherried fruit, caramel and sweet spice complimented by masses of smoke, earth, tar, and sea s.Distilled in 2005 and matured in a single sherry butt for 14 years before being bottled in February 2020. This mystery peated whisky from the Isle Of Mull is a spirit known by the original distillery name, meaning ‘safe haven’. This UK exclusive from Murray McDavid was allowed to mature in oak 21 years, with an additional finishing period in a Margaux wine cask.

Tantalisingly sweet, medicinal flavours infused with enticing sparks of spicy pepper and dried fruit with rich peaty smoke and a velvety vanilla and malty creaminess. To be eligible for a full refund you must contact us to inform us of any issue within 24 hours of receipt. The first release in our new Sinclair Series, this non aged statement Ledaig Rioja Finish is ruby red in colour and perfectly balances peat smoke with sweet, fruity Rioja. Both these whiskies scored a 7 in my eyes, but I’ve a stronger preference for the 18 due to the dark and richer character. Each malt reflects our inspiring island – from the bright, vibrant and fruity Tobermory to the more robust, peated Ledaig, with sweet smoke and earthy notes.Ledaig is the peated alter ego of Tobermory single malt, with the distillery situated on the Hebridean Isle of Mull. With this in mind, I recently unearthed a Ledaig 10yo and a nice sample of the Ledaig 18yo at the back of the cupboard.
