She's mousy and timid, but sweet, working as an office temp in a law firm around a bunch of dicks lawyers and stuff.

I’m still just so annoyed over that book and the fact that Hawke/Sienna seem to be all over ToN is another reason I’m hesitant to read it. She's amazingly stoic about the bricks life keeps hurling at her head, tends to apologize and take blame too often for things that aren't her fault. If that cub puts his hands anywhere near you, I don’t care if he is your friend, I’ll rip his arms off.No matter what we’re *told* about the heroes (Clay as aloof and silent, Riaz as lone wolf, etc) when the story focuses on them, the men lose their specific personalities and blur into one Generic Singh Hero who is all about dominance and possession and his woman. Also he gets a skill like issac's from AWBDLH, but he gets power based on the danger level or hostility. If you're giving it a shot, my advise is to read while turning off most parts of your brain and you'll enjoy some parts of it despite the chaos. He gets constantly thrown in dangerous situations that involve the FMCs that are both absolutely crazy in their own ways and associated with a demon each (almost eldritch horrors ngl), making them fall for him through both his actions and personality.

The diverse cast of obsessive yandere love interests could have been one-note, but they are given depth and thoughtful backstories. That surprised me a bit – I thought there’d been a lot of books in the series but not that many – maybe more like eight. Still, a lot of what I appreciated in the Riaz/Adria storyline was that the mating bond was ultimately presented as equal to, but no more than, the love that we human beings are capable of feeling for our spouses and partners.Jennie: A character glossary featuring more than 50 names is included in the beginning of the book, which gives you an idea of just how many people there are to keep track of.
