About this deal

Rub 'n Buff 15ml Tubes Made from imported carnauba waxes, fine metallic powders, and select pigments, Rub 'n Buff® gives almost any surface a new look in minutes.

If you don’t have any handy, I love this inexpensive brush set and use it for makeup, but the stiffer large brushes will work for this project. I dabbed a small amount of Rub ‘n Buff onto a paper plate, grabbed my makeup brush and used the stiffer end to blend thoroughly. When testing out these colors, I made the rookie mistake of not sanding first like I normally do, so it made the “buffing” step next to impossible and resulted in a chunky, terribly textured, dull finish. NOTE: Do not use cleaners that contain solvents as these may cause the Rub 'n Buff to disperse into the carpet padding.

So, I have a frameless mirror on the wall in my living room and I bought some molding to frame it out. If you are looking for a copper color, I think the Copper Leaf has a great copper finish personally I just don’t like copper as much as gold. It didn’t make as much difference in that way as I’d thought it would, nor did having a light, midtone, or dark starting surface. Grecian Gold – It’s warmer and more bronzy in color than Gold Leaf, while still looking like a gold tone.

Rub'n Buff is a wax base metallic finish that is formulated from imported carnauba waxes, fine metallic powders and select pigments. There aren’t as many silver colors as there are gold ones, and the two silver colors are both beautiful! Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections - they may also appear in recommendations and other places. If this is not the color you need please check my other listings for the colors that best suit your projects. Rub onto clean, dry, or previously painted surfaces or on post-fired ceramics with a gloved finger or soft cloth, then gently buff to a beautiful luster. The first time I tried using a cotton ball and that didn’t work at all, so take my advice and use a good makeup brush! Makeup brush — Obviously you won’t be using it on your face again, so don’t use your favorite brush! Since I wanted the look of antique brass, I first purchased Antique Brass Rub n Buff (makes sense, right?

Formulated from Carnauba waxes, fine metallic powders, and select pigments for a finish no paint can duplicate. There is a little see-through with the black paint – multiple coats of product would make it more opaque. When used safely and properly it is an amazing product but please read and always follow the care and use instructions as shown on the package. You have more control over the finish at the end because you can buff it out until you get your desired look. shoes, bags, and other leather materials, please try a corner of the item first before putting Rub 'n Buff® on it.

Here on Liz Marie Blog you'll find a little bit of everything form DIY projects, our cute little farm, and our happy little 2 year old son Copeland Beau. The black paint doesn’t have to be perfect or even cover completely, we’re just aiming for a darker base coat.

It’s the easiest and quickest way to achieve a realistic antique metal finish, and it’s an enjoyable process too!
