About this deal

If you remember back to the plot of Avengers: Endgame, the surviving heroes figured out—thanks to Tony Stark's genius—how they could reverse Thanos' snap and bring everyone back. Tijdens zijn eerste avond bij het politieteam van Detroit wordt Walter O’Brien naar een plaats delict gestuurd. Despite the fact that his interaction with her are relatively short, each time he meets Amy she changes his life in a different way and he soon becomes quite obsessed with her. But the fact remains—and this is a nice way of already showing just how manipulative Val can be—if Clint had died on Vormir during Endgame, Natasha would still be alive. Murder many times over and over many years but its a compelling book to read and you get to the point where you have to keep reading to find an answer to it all.

The book then shifts gears to O'Brien having left the Detroit PD and being at Quantico for his FBI training. Death of the Black Widow is a monster of a read, clocking in at 517 pages (minus the About the Author section and sneak peeks at other Patterson books). They quickly realize that the threat is the widow and she is finally being exposed for the monster she is to the world as the media is there in full force covering this hostage situation. In Love Is Not Enough, Mark’s first Audible Original, you’ll follow five real people over the course of six months as they navigate f--ked up romantic situations, ranging from dating app addiction to marital affairs to absurd fantasies. A secret government agency is attempting to find this mysterious woman, and soon they and Walter begin to uncover a disturbing trend of murders going back years.A stunning stand-alone thriller following a Detroit cop's hunt for a serial killer like no other, from the bestsell At first, it’s not even clear how O’Brien’s first day on the job—where it seems the victim of a kidnapping escapes from his squad car—is related to the current events. What follows is a moment of disbelief, as the woman not only plays the victim, but eludes the officers and ends up on the lam, shoving rookie O’Brien as she does. A stunning stand-alone thriller following a Detroit cop's hunt for a serial killer like no other, from the bestselling authors of The Noise.

One of the best parts of this is that you get to see the growing obsession that Walter builds towards this woman, as meeting her proves to be a defining experience for him. This grossly oversimplified understanding has created many complexities in our lives and taken away from us the very fundamentals of the joy of living.I personally found myself powering through the last 350+ pages in less than a day, especially once I begun to fully understand just how clever and weird things were about to get. Instead, I felt that it was a brilliant move from the authors and one that played particularly well to Barker’s strengths. At this point, they are not sharing their identities or the identity of the person they are seeking, but we all know this will be forthcoming and should blow Rigby’s mind as she and the reader together find out more and more about who this Amy/Black Widow character really is. D. Barker were absolutely amazing here, producing a clever and intricate thriller, loaded with unique characters, a deep obsession laden storyline and some excellent horror elements.
