The text and HUD have been given an upgrade too, meaning everything all looks nice and crisp here as well. It feels like special editions of each game, and if it hadn't been pointed out that it was emulation, I wouldn't have noticed. If the games are in their original form with a bit of polish (sounds like it to me) then I see no reason why this isn't the biggest no-brainer purchase of the year.

So I think a 9 feels like overly praising the package, when the 2 of the 3 games have been playable in a variety of ways for so long.The one missing star is for the thing I feel gamers truly have a point to gripe about, yet I've seen only a handful do so: It's not the fully expanded Mario 64 for 3DS, complete with Wario as a playable character, extra stars, and areas entirely new from the original. For Sunshine, he felt the adjusted controls would affect anyone playing who had muscle memory from the original and that the visuals stuttered somewhat late in the game. This has the long term effect of keeping their products more valuable and in higher demand than the competition and allows them to offer more distilled gameplay experiences without a huge volume of lootboxes and microtransactions. You could just link to the previous ones and give a little summary of how little else there is in the package beyond a soundtrack.
