Skip the misleading ads, paid bloggers, sponsored Instagrammers, and enjoy some real information from other redditors. Or if you’re like me and you love highlighters you can actually tell a difference between the two :). I have (4) of the Ambient Light powders (the trio and Mood Light) and just got this Becca highlight in the mail today. Wow, Karen, I finally have the time to read your posts again (or do anything blogs-related) and oh my, you look more beautiful with each passing day.

Makeup and Beauty Blog features daily product reviews, makeup tips and beauty news — like an interactive version of a monthly print magazine, except with occasional pictures of my cat. The beauty of it is that despite the highly reflective finish, it doesn’t appear frosty or metallic, and it still somehow manages not to make my pores look like you could do Olympic high dives into them. I recommend storing the compact in something padded to reduce the chance of breakage, or you could always mummify it with a dozen rubber bands like some kind of crazy makeup person. This light, warm and shimmery peachy golden powder is a full-on, high-beam, dancing-on-the-stage-and-shaking-what-yo’-mama-gave-you-with-no-shame highlighter. One of my life goals is to someday open a bottle of champagne with a longsword or saber (honestly, I would not be surprised to be the only one of us here with that goal). In all honesty when I look at Becca Opal swatched next to Becca Champagne Pop they do look very similar so if you already own Opal I don’t think you’ll have to get Champagne Pop.

Jaclyn has assured everyone that the formula of Champagne Pop has not been changed at all, and so you can rest assured that this product will have the same amazing formula we all know and love from other Becca highlighters. I’ve taken a few photos to show the complexity but it’s something you have to see in person to really understand how gorgeous it is.I'd consider Mary Lou to be still a little more universal than Champagne Pop as it has less color to it.

I have Moonstone in the liquid luminizers and didn't want to get the pressed powder in the same color. She specialises in books, food (excluding dairy - so she knows a lot of the best vegan alternatives), travel and homeware. As with every Becca highlighter the product is very soft, extremely pigmented and doesn’t emphasize pores. Designed to celebrate the brand's bestselling Champagne Pop shade, this limited edition pressed powder highlighter is housed in a stunning, shimmering compact that mimics the product's classic, luminous glow.

The concept behind this shade is that it suits a huge range of skin tones, from the fairest skin (like me) to the darkest skin. it's a bargain, I didn't actually expect it to be as good as Becca but on application I could barely detect a difference between the two. I've used this highlighter in many of my recent looks and find that it works great with warm makeup. It's too perfect, only thing is it's slightly too golden for inner corners in my personal opinion so I have to use my mac lightscapade as well.

In the pot it’s this gorgeous luminous peachy gold champagne shimmer on the skin it pulls a bit more cool-toned than what I see in the compact. I would say on a night out it's possible that Morphe would be the best choice, but in a close second place is Milani's Baked Highlighter in Champagne D'Oro - it's definitely brought the brand onto my radar and I look forward to seeing what other products they have. Sweep onto the high points of the cheeks, creating a “C” shape as you move up toward the temple and brow bone.

The Reviews Club brings together the UK's biggest experts to review products and services in an honest and in-depth manner. I’ll be wearing this all over my cheekbones, collarbone, shoulders and anywhere else I can in Vegas this weekend and all summer long to get that Victoria’s Secret model glow.
